Among the seventy-five teachers, there are ten candidates of sciences, seven graduate students, twelve have the title of Honored Teacher of the Russian Federation, Honored Teacher of the Republic of Belarus, five are Honored Workers of SPO, two are Honored Workers of Education of the Republic of Belarus.
Mining is a top concern
The main social partner of the college is JSC Buryat-Zoloto, one of the largest gold mining companies in Russia, which develops gold deposits in Eastern Siberia. U-UIPC has been cooperating with this company since 2003. It was then that, in agreement with the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Buryatia, a general agreement was concluded on joint continuous multi-level training of mining specialists, as well as scientific, technical and socio-economic cooperation for the period 2003-2010. In 2008, this agreement was supplemented by a program of joint training of personnel by OJSC Buryatzoloto and GOU SPO U-UIPK for the period 2008–2017.
Today, the mining department trains personnel for the mining industry of the region in six specialties: "Underground mining of mineral deposits", "Open pit mining", "Mine surveying", "Mineral processing", "Technical operation and maintenance of electrical and electromechanical equipment in mining industry", "Geological survey, prospecting and exploration of mineral deposits".
U-UIPK, together with OJSC Buryatzoloto, twice became the winner of the competition for innovative educational programs: in 2007 - "Formation of an innovative educational environment and modern professional competence specialists in the mining industry of the region” and in 2008 — “Development of a multi-level system of continuous training of workers and specialists in the mining industry of the region on the basis of public-private partnership”.
As a result of the implementation of two innovative projects, an advanced modern laboratory base has been created, which makes it possible to implement a specific part of educational programs related to the latest production technologies, to achieve effective professionalization of graduates.
This base includes, along with laboratories created within the college (electrotechnical, lithotheque, mineral processing, etc.), training grounds located outside the college.
A training face was specially erected on the surface in full size with mining and electrical equipment corresponding to the equipment of the underground adit. The tunneling range is used to familiarize students with the reinforcement of mine workings, with fastening elements, as well as to gain practical skills as a sinker.
The mining and drilling site, located within the city of Ulan-Ude, was transferred to the use of the college. He introduces students of the specialty "Geological survey, prospecting and exploration of mineral deposits" with working equipment and drilling technology.
The underground educational mining site in the mountain training area of the Kholbinskiy mine is designed to familiarize students with mining technology, labor organization, and development of tunneling cycle parameters. All these polygons are included in the infrastructure of the college.
System created distance learning based on the latest computer technology, allowing to train students in the head college, branches, in the training centers of JSC "Buryatzoloto" in real time.
During the implementation of the project, a joint venture was established with Buryatzoloto OJSC non-profit partnership"Miners of Buryatia", thanks to which it became possible to form a sustainable target order for the training of mining specialists and guaranteed employment of college graduates.
42 graduates of the mining department work at OJSC Buryatzoloto in the specialty "Underground mining of mineral deposits", 28 of them are mining foremen. In addition, about 75% of the total number of graduates of the mining department are employed at the mining enterprises of the republic. Other graduates study at universities or are drafted into the army.
Aviation industry - young personnel
The college has almost 60 years of history. At first it was called the aviation technical school. Prior to the reorganization, the Ulan-Ude Aviation Technical School trained specialists in two specialties: “Aircraft Production” and “Materials Processing on PU Machines and Automatic Lines”.
Creating a new educational institution secondary vocational education has significantly expanded the list of specialties. His distinctive feature became a three-stage multi-level training of specialists (from workers to technicians, from technicians to advanced technicians).
The college cooperates with JSC "Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant", which is one of the leading enterprises in Russia. The aircraft plant is a member of the professional elite - the corporation of aircraft manufacturers of the Russian Federation OJSC Russian Helicopters.
U-UIPK trains personnel by order of the aviation plant. And for each graduate of the department of aircraft engineering and service, practically prepared in advance workplace in production. All students of this department undergo practical training on the basis of the aircraft factory - in its workshops, in departments at the sites. All college graduates majoring in Engineering Technology and Production aircraft» either work at an aircraft factory or continue their education at the ESGTU, Moscow Aviation Institute and Moscow Aviation Technology Institute.
In connection with the technical re-equipment of the plant, the college faced the task of improving its material and technical base. Currently, the creation of a territorial educational and production center for the training of operators of machine tools with numerical control by Siemens is being completed.
The center will not only train college students, but also retrain factory workers.
In 2008, the social partner of the college JSC "Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant" began to conduct video consultations and video conferences on issues of after-sales Maintenance and repair of aircraft. Thus, an international conference was held with users aviation technology in Croatia.

Together with OJSC Buryatzoloto, we actively participated in the implementation of the priority national project Education and became winners twice. On the basis of our college branch resource centers for the training, retraining and advanced training of specialists in the mining and engineering profile. Centers equipped with modern production equipment. As part of the activities of resource centers in 2009, agreements on social partnership were concluded with ZAO Gold Mining Company Polyus; with LLC "Enterprise Erdenet" (Mongolia).
We have teaching experience foreign students, citizens of Mongolia. Active work is underway to attract citizens of Mongolia to the study of the Russian language with the issuance of a certificate for subsequent admission to secondary schools of the Siberian federal district and the Russian Federation.
We actively cooperate with production enterprises and educational institutions of Mongolia.
