Experience, ideas to help planning for 2017

Dear colleagues!

It's hot time drawing up work plans for 2017. As always, at the last moment we rush to find something interesting and useful, something that we ourselves would like to spend in our library and get nervous when we don’t find it. I want to make your job easier to find interesting material to help plan for 2017.

I bring to your attention different ideas and experience of holding various events in the libraries of the country. Maybe someone will like them and want to host something similar. I think that the most important thing is to grasp the idea, and the rest can already be invented in relation to your library. Good luck, dear colleagues, in planning for 2017!

Tree of recognition (for MOTHER'S DAY)

AT Library No. 2 of the Central Library Library of the city of Yelets passed Campaign "Mom, I love you!" , which was timed mother's day, one of the most touching holidays. AT within three weeks library readers confessed their love to their mothers. They wrote congratulations-hearts and attached them to the Tree of Recognition, which "grew" in the foyer of the library.Happy mothers thanked the children and took pictures with them near the tree. The action had big success at readers.

Library Dive (QUEST GAME)

Kherson Regional Library for Children regularly "immerses" teenagers in the library, spending Sunday quest game. The effect of "immersion" is that readers for a certain time in different departments of the library are looking for all possible information(both traditional media and electronic) on a given word (topic). For example, one of the quests was dedicated to an apple. Its participants were divided into 3 teams, each of which received an apple of its own color - route sheet with assignments. During the quest, the children "immersed" in the work of all departments of the library and learned: what is the symbol of the apple; about three apples that changed the world; in the junior department they remembered the names of songs and fairy tales; in the sector of literature in foreign languages found the "apple" of Steve Jobs; read useful information about vitamins and microelements in magazines; in the club room conducted their investigation. After passing the routes, all participants gathered to present the results of the “apple dive”. For perseverance and diligence, the organizers treated them to delicious apples! And in the end, the guys decorated symbolic tree "Immersion in the library" with the extracted fruits. His librarians placed in advance in the lobby of the first floor. In addition to the apple dive in the library, there were others: "Worm", "Butterfly", "Seagull". And now library staff appeal to colleagues: “Immerse your readers in the library!”.

Selfie style photo quest

CBS of Chelyabinsk in August-September 2014, she conducted a photo quest in the style of a selfie. The essence of the quest was to introduce the participants to the variety of libraries in the city. To participate and win it was necessary:

1. visit at least 5 city libraries;

2. take a photo of yourself against the background of the library so that you can see the number,

name of the library;

First 5 participants who completed the task, and the participant, who visited the largest number of libraries received prizes. The rewarding of participants and winners of the quest took place on September 7 at the Book and Reading Festival.

Storytime ("story time")

Storytime is a way of conveying information in the process of storytelling, combining reading aloud with elements of theatrical, musical accompaniment, games, and various kinds of cognitive activity. In the US, storytime is one of the main forms of introducing children to reading in families of non-reading parents.

It is traditionally recognized that parents are the first teachers of the child, and the librarian in America is the first teacher of parents in the formation of literary literacy.

Parents, through participation in storytime in American libraries, see a competent approach to the implementation of the reading process in the family.

Classics at every turn

In July 2014 children's library. A. S. Pushkin, Sarov invited her readers to take part in the summer street action “Classics at every step”. The essence of the action is to choose your favorite quotes from the works of M.Yu. Lermontov and A.S. Pushkin and decorate the streets of the city with them, writing with crayons on the pavement. Preschool children, school students and adults also joined the action. The library received more than fifty photo confirmations.

A similar action called "Pushkin in Lipetsk" passed on the initiative Lipetsk Regional Youth Library May 26 to June 6, 2014 at on the eve of Pushkin's Day in Russia under the motto "Let's decorate the city with quotes from the works of the great poet".

Poetic battle

AT Youth Club BookClub Library No. 89 GBUK Moscow "CBS SVAO" took place "poetic battle" Eight poets were represented in the duel: William Shakespeare, Arthur Rimbaud, Lesya Ukrainka, Vladimir Mayakovsky, Sergei Yesenin, Joseph Brodsky and our contemporary Vera Polozkova. Japan was represented by haiku poets.

Each poet was represented by one of the members of the Club, who had to choose one poem in the categories: friendship; love; nature; chanting of life; alienation, disappointment, melancholy. There were evaluation points, and disputes, and defending one's point of view. During the battle, two poets reached the final - William Shakespeare and Joseph Brodsky. "Won" Joseph Brodsky. But the main outcome of the meeting is the creative atmosphere that prevailed that evening. After all, it's so nice when a young intelligent public gathers in the library - active, well-read, friendly and frank.

Literary oven-heap

Pecha-kucha is a new, but actively developing format of communication. It was invented in 2003 in Tokyo a the Austrians Astrid Klein and Mark Ditham. Having founded an architectural bureau, Mark and Astrid, on duty, were constantly present at the presentations of colleagues. Most of the time it was exhausting, so they came up with a strict rule for speakers: 20x20. The author shows a presentation of 20 slides, and 20 seconds are given for comments on each slide. Slides change automatically.

The heap-oven format has become popular all over the world. In Russia, about 300 cities have joined in holding such events. In libraries, this format is used mainly at professional events, but The Vologda Regional Youth Library also holds meetings for readers in the pecha-kucha format. They go under the general name "Literature and everything that surrounds it". The speakers present thematic reports to the public, and the best speaker of the meeting is determined based on the results of the audience voting.

Dress code for an old book

Librarians of the Astrakhan Youth Library. B. Shakhovsky decided to promote the classics in an original way by developing the “Dress Code for an Old Book” project. They were inspired to create it by the famous Russian proverb “Meet by clothes, see off by mind". They "dressed up" the books in new super-covers with illustrations that somehow reflect the content of the book or show its main characters. Naturally, it was not without humor. This innovation has already drawn attention to the classic works of many regular readers and occasional guests, who first learned about the project at the celebration of the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture, where a separate exhibition of books - participants of the project. Many took part in a kind of literary quiz - guessed by the cover probable name book hidden behind it. It didn't always work out, of course. But it was fun and interesting.

super reader

For the "weekend" events of the "Library without Borders" project, librarians of the Central Library Center "South-West" of Moscow came up with the game "Super Reader" for citizens of any age.

The technique is simple: all letters of the alphabet are sequentially pasted on a large stand; arrows lead players from A to Z. Literary works that begin with it are listed next to each letter. In total, the stand has collected more than 100 works for children and adults. Considering that names do not begin with some letters, librarians used this to enhance the playful and educational effect.

For example, an inscription was added to the letter "Y": "I spilled Yoghurt on the book - three moves ago."

On the letter "Z" - "Bent the page - skipping the move." Near the letter "b" - "firmly decided to enroll in the library - 1 move ahead", and next to the letter "b" - "Gently advised a friend to enroll in the library - 2 moves ahead." The rules of the game are simple. From 1 to 3 players (or families) can participate in it. Each player (team) receives a flag of a certain color. Players take turns rolling the dice. The number dropped on it means how many steps the player can take and how many authors of the works listed on his way he must name. At the end of the game, the winners receive prizes. The game plot captivates, but many experience difficulties: it is not always possible to remember the author.

Literary cross "Find a friend"

The subscription sector for students in grades 5-9 of the Kherson Regional Library for Children at the Library Innovation Fair presented the idea of a literary cross "Find a Friend". Game conditions: the first reader - the captain of the team, chooses any book from the proposed list. Having read it himself, he advises it to his friend, who, in turn, advises the next one. As a result, a team of supporters "grows up" around one book. The transfer point of the book is the subscription sector, the reading period is two weeks, the distance of the reader's race is 10 weeks. Teams with at least 5 readers advance to the final. On the the final tournament "The Book Gathers Friends" teams present their book, friends and their literary cross in an interesting way. Choice The winner - the team that best presented itself and its book - is voted by the audience and fans. In the additional nomination, the winner is the team that attracted the most readers to their book.

Presentation "Find a friend" was presented at Fair of Library Innovations in the Kherson Regional Library for Children in 2013 (heading "Bank of innovations" of the blog "Bibliokreativ").

"Book Fighter"

City Children's Library of Armyansk at the Library Innovation Fair presented the ideas of the competition "Bookfighter" ("Book Fighter"). The idea for its creation was the English movement "Bookcrossing". Only in this competition, participants do not “let go” of their favorite book, but “fight” for it. The battle lasts 3 rounds:

1 round - greeting opponents;

Round 3 - "Battle" (the presenter asks each of the participants questions on his topic).

"Fighters" can use 20-second pauses, but in case of a response delay after 20 seconds. The participant is told:

knockout- if the "fighter" does not answer the question;

knockdown- the answer is, but incorrect or incomplete;

out - no answers to all questions, exit from the battle.

If a “fighters” gain an equal number of points and the jury finds it difficult to determine the winner of the “battle”, then “Express Lotto”(additional questions from the jury). According to the authors of the game, the innovativeness of the idea lies in the possibility of introducing a little novelty and freshness into such traditional events as the Reader of the Year, making them brighter, more dynamic, and more spectacular.

book rain

Looking at the exhibition issued on the subscription of 5-9 classes in Khakassian Republican Children's Library for the opening of the Week of Children's and Youth Books, we can safely say that it was prepared by people with extraordinary imagination and believing in a miracle.

It's so wonderful: books floating in the air!

When developing the exhibition, the basis was the word "rain" is taken, accordingly, hanging from the ceiling golden ribbons to which books are attached with stationery clips. On the same tapes placed and exhibition title. And the upper part, under the ceiling, is decorated with balloons, creating a festive mood. The whole structure is very light and mobile, rotates at the slightest touch, making the books mysterious and attractive.

The children “plunge” into the rain of books, which creates the illusion of magic – each book of this exhibition is attractive by the unusualness of its soaring in the air. Many readers have a question: "Is it possible to take books from the exhibition?" Of course you can and should! And the guys are happy to take books to read home from an unusual exhibition. We can safely say that no exhibition in the library is updated as often as "Book rain" - not a single reader has resisted the temptation to remove the book from the tape.

And further a few ideas from the experience of the libraries of Khakassia.

AT Chernogorsk for children during the summer holidays continued its work reading yard. Librarians organized children's leisure activities in the courtyards of the city: they held literary quizzes, games, and sports competitions.

Great interest among preschoolers and educators aroused interactive fairy tale-game "Moyoshka the donkey", which was invented and carried out by employees Ust-Abakan Central Children's Hospital. For clarity, a colorful game stand-glade was designed, on which the guys, together withdonkey Moeshka made a journey into a fairy tale. In order for the donkey's journey to take place, the children completed tasks, learned to be polite, friendly and responsive.

Consultation
"Library Without Borders: modern forms non-library
service"

The most important element of culture, an essential factor in the upbringing and development of the individual is reading. However, recently its role in society is losing its leadership. In this situation, the most important tasks of the library are: the development of a sustainable and conscious interest in reading, the expansion of the reader's and cultural horizons; all-round support for the prestige of reading as an essential element of culture through the renewal of traditional methods of work in accordance with the new needs of the younger generation.
"Library Without Borders"- the work of the library in open areas, the exit of the library into the virtual space, which became possible thanks to the informatization of libraries. The library as a virtual space is a unique information center for the reader, with which he contacts while at home or on the road. Speaking about the virtual space of the library, first of all it is necessary to name such an important element as the library website. So, on the website of the Veselovskaya Intersettlement Central Library, you can see information about the history and state of the art ICB, opening hours, resources, literature reviews, library information products, library news and events, contact information, etc. In a word, the site is a constantly updated informational and educational resource of the library.
The library expands its virtual space and in social networks. There are library groups in which librarians discuss their common professional problems, share their impressions of events, and discuss the latest news in the library world. So, for example, in Odnoklassniki there is a group called Librarians, which has a page called Veselovsky Library. On this page we post news of library life, give links to materials published on the website of the Veselovskaya MCB, etc. in the discussion of topics in which our library is actively involved.
The page "Veselovskaya Library" is also on the social network "Vkontakte", in the groups "Libraries of the Don", "Don State".

Among the forms of extra-library services, first of all, the emphasis is on bringing the library service closer to the place of study, work and recreation of the population, including through holidays, promotions, and reading festivals in open areas.

Mobile reading room in the open air "Library under an umbrella"
The goal is to expand the information horizons of young people with the help of periodicals, to bring the library as close as possible to the reader. Stimulate public interest in books and reading. He worked in August and September on the central square of the city of Zarinsk ( Altai region) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 14.00 to 18.00. Magazine racks, plastic furniture, colorful parasols with the name of the project. The information cycle included: an invitation to the "Library under an umbrella", bookmarks for young parents, colorful bookmarks, invitations to the library with information about new products.

"Library outside the walls"
One of the innovative directions - "Library outside the walls" - is being implemented by the staff of the libraries of the Torzhok Central Library Library in the Tver Region. At the Merchant Caravan festival in the village of Vasilevo, as part of the Trinity festivities, librarians presented a business center and distributed advertising publications. During the Day of Sports and Tourism in Torzhok, a book fair with an autograph session of local authors, an exhibition of literary novelties, and a Map of Book Treasures were shown. The librarians worked “in the crowd”: handing out flyers, talking about the possibilities of the library, inviting guests, conducting a blitz survey “I read…”. To keep track of how many people would come to the library, they were recorded in advance right on the square, and registered when visiting the Central Bank. As a result, more than 50% of those registered at the festival became its users. On the Youth Day of the city, poets, singers and musicians were presented on the Literary Alley "Young Torzhok Reads". Library publishing products, the stand "Poetry's enchanting sounds" were demonstrated. On the All-Russian Youth Day, they organized the Literary Alley “We are Young”, a poster exhibition “If you want to find a friend, hurry to the library”, with the active assistance of members of the youth club “Spektr”, operating under the Central Bank, literary and local history library caching “I love my city” .
On May 27, employees of the central and children's libraries took to the streets of the city, on buses, minibuses with the action “Have you signed up for the library?!”. They conducted blitz polls “May 27 - what does this day mean to you?”, “About reading and books”, “About libraries and librarians”, offered invitations, leaflets, booklets, newsletters, sold local history literature. On the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, Central Bank employees participated in the solemn registration of the marriage of two young couples, asked the townspeople on the streets the question: “What is significant today?” (50% of respondents answered correctly), congratulated on the holiday, handed out booklets, "fevronki", daisies, popularized the book of Anna Gippius "Peter and Fevronia", invited to the library, visited the editorial office of the newspaper "Torzhokskaya Nedelya", which immediately covered the action in the current issue on their pages.

Project "Summer Reading Room"
Employees of the Uglich Central Library Service of the Yaroslavl Region began their journey "beyond the walls of the library" together with volunteers by going out into the street only on the City Day - book and magazine expositions unfolded near the library building. Children and adults willingly spun the lottery drum, answered the questions of a local history quiz, received a good wish as a gift - the words of a famous writer. A year later, in the park area, not far from the library, tables were placed, a microphone was installed and lovers of poetry and amateur songs were invited to listen, read, sing and just talk about literature. This is how the Literary Cafe appeared. Several times librarians took part in the regional campaign “We are for a reading Russia!”: from June 1 to June 12, events were held to support reading for users of all ages. Part of the activities - interviewing, distribution of booklets, bookmarks, flyers - takes place on the street.
Finally, having sufficient experience of working outside the walls of the library, the staff organized the Summer Reading Room. It opened on June 12 and became a kind of meeting place for residents, reflections on the question “Where does the Motherland begin?”. Their words were written on pieces of paper - white, blue, red and hung on birch branches. In addition, a historical, reference and fiction and a cognitive game program “We are proud of great Russia” was held. Subsequently, the reading room worked three times a week for four hours. Residents could read books and magazines in the shade of trees and umbrellas, take part in quizzes and competitions.
New opportunities were opened for librarians by the traditional municipal fair Harvest 2013. The tent, under which tables, exhibition racks and a painted bench were located, attracted guests with bright covers of books and magazines, baskets from which you could get a funny question and, having answered it, receive a booklet “Mysteries of the bee hive” or a recipe for cooking vegetable preparations as a gift . Librarians offered those who wished to get multi-colored rejuvenating apples-wishes from the nesting doll pocket. A children's area was designed for children: a sunflower with riddles instead of seeds, a small table and chairs, paper, pencils.
Within the framework of the reading room, the following actions were held:
- flash mob "Native speech"(to the Day of Russia) - Readers brought their favorite books with them, after wrapping them in colored paper. According to the excerpt, read out within 3 minutes, it was necessary to find out the author and the title of the work. As a keepsake, readers received booklets and bookmarks.
- flash mob "Green light for reading". Participants with green balloons and favorite books read for 5 minutes.
The Summer Reading Room completed its work with the educational program "With a book - to the Land of Knowledge", dedicated to the beginning of the school year.
Based on their own experience, Uglich librarians advise those who are just starting to organize leisure and reading outside the library:
1. When determining the place where the summer library site will be located, it is necessary to provide for the presence of shade from the trees.
2. You should not be located in too crowded places - near a store or pharmacy: their visitors show interest in the exhibited publications in order to purchase.
3. Children's books, colored pencils and crayons will not be enough to keep the attention of young readers. In order for a mother or grandmother to have time to sit down at a table, relax, look through books and magazines, you need to purchase a ball, cubes, etc.
4. It is necessary to stock up on a large piece of plastic wrap - from sudden summer rains.

Innovative project "Library Village"
The improvised "Library Village" (for the anniversary of the district) is comfortably located among the trees on the site near the rural House of Culture in the village of Batama, Ziminsky District, Irkutsk Region. Original design: bright multi-colored flags, balloons, banner, slogans and various statements about the book and reading. From the tent - “Radio of the Ziminsky District” - all those present could learn information about the main events of the past year, achievements and successes in the life of the district; the program of the holiday, library advertising, poems of local poets sounded.
In the "Open Air Reading Room for Adults" exhibitions were arranged: "Ziminsky district in book format", "Comfort in your home", "Interesting for YOU!", "New books".

The action is already being held at two venues, which increased the number of participants. The action is also supported by the branches of the CBS. For example, in one of the branches a street action "Book in Summer" was held.

At the beginning of the relay race, a survey of young people was conducted, as a result of which the most popular artistically significant works among the youth were selected for reading and discussion, and a recommended reading list was compiled. The major event was Campaign "Time to read!" in the form of a fair at which "library services and goods" were demonstrated. The street in front of the library building was festively cleaned: flags, balloons were hung, tables with library publications and funny announcements. Musical accompaniment and theatricalization.
Action "Reading trolleybus", "Reading bus": organized distribution of promotional products, a review of new products, a brief acquaintance with the history of objects along the route. Quiz "Erudite", poems of local writers sounded.

Project "Reading train" (Moscow)- in the Moscow Metro, the carriages of one of the trains are provided with versatile information about the library, visual agitation in favor of active reading. The library goes to the reader.

Action "Advertising spring" (Angarsk, Irkutsk region)
The action was timed to coincide with the All-Russian Day of Libraries. It is a good opportunity to tell in an interesting way about the possibilities of libraries, to demonstrate them to readers and potential users, to use advertising to attract new readers, to develop methods of working with regular visitors, to form a positive image of the library. On that day, it was lively and noisy in the street in front of every library in the city: tables, exhibition racks were taken out, balls and flags, slogans, banners were hung up, stands, posters-huts were set up, music sounded. Booklets, bookmarks, business cards of libraries, announcements about library services - at bus stops, in shops, on the street were handed out to passers-by by librarians dressed as literary heroes.
Each of the libraries used different types of advertising: showcase, window. For example: “In a house without books - how dark it is without windows”, “A book is a secret, a book is a treasure. The book is a friend for all the guys”, “My friend, here is your library!”. Street advertising in the form of tablets, posters, huts, stands, billboards. Library posters “My favorite library”, “We are going to the library”, “Our whole family loves the book”, “Everything is fine, but it is better with the library”, “Have you signed up for the library?”. Colorfully designed slogans "The whole family - to the library!", "I know how to get to the library", "Surprise your parents - read a book", etc.
Contests of drawings on asphalt “My favorite fairy tale”, “Fairy tale country”, “Island of beauty”, book exhibitions and handicraft exhibitions.
Advertising during public events - contests, quizzes, games, gatherings. So, in one of the libraries, gatherings “With a book on a bench” were held, in the other, on the lawn under the windows of the library, the contest “Clever and clever” was held.

Action "With a book on the bench" passed in Tambov. One of the benches in the park was decorated with a garland of balloons. All passers-by became participants in the event. Librarians were on duty in the park and read the best fairy tales aloud to children. A week later, children with grandparents, moms and dads hurried to the park at the appointed time.

Action "Reading Pushkin together"
Using elements of theatricalization, librarians of the Central City Library named after A.S. Pushkin (Oryol) gave everyone the opportunity to read the works of A.S. Pushkin, and at the same time try the poet's favorite dishes, the tasting of which was accompanied by a story about A.S. Pushkin.

Flash mob "Say thanks to the teacher!" (on the eve of a professional holiday)
Everyone who wished could say kind words to his mentor, congratulate the teaching staff of his native school on Teacher's Day. You could do it through a microphone or take a postcard with a logo specially printed for the action and write a few kind words. Signed postcards were donated to educational institutions.

Campaigns for the elderly and disabled "Book at home", "Hurry to do good", during which librarians deliver home to the elderly, sick, with handicapped newspapers, magazines, books for people, conduct conversations with them on various topics (the village of Takhta, Ipatovsky District, the village of Severnoe, Aleksandrovsky District, Stavropol Territory).

Holiday of books and reading "Literary Boulevard"
A holiday dedicated to the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture was held in the city of Kurgan. The event was accompanied by a large advertising campaign: a commercial, printed materials - flyers, leaflets, bookmarks, booklets, posters with the program of the holiday events, information on the website about preparing for the holiday, individual work with students.
On the day of the holiday, in the morning, the equipment was installed, the equipment was connected, and the exhibition racks were arranged. The beginning of the event - 11.00. Loud music sounded with the chime of bells and gave a start to the celebration. The head of the city, the rector of the hospital church of St. Luke at the Kurgan Regional War Veterans Hospital, the famous writer V. Potanin, addressed the residents with welcoming words.
The holiday program was held at five venues. One platform - game programs, songs and dances, performances of folk ensembles, a street performance based on the fairy tale by B. Shergin "Shish of Moscow".
Another platform - students studying at the department of arts and crafts, in front of passers-by, painted wooden blanks of future dolls, wove from beads, knitted.
On the "Playground, or Adults are not allowed to move!" adults had fun with the children. Cheerful red-haired clowns Klepa and Iriska staged a "literary swim", where the main prize was a large inflatable dolphin for swimming, were DJs at a mischievous "children's library", held quizzes and competitions. The favorite characters of the children's magazine "Nafanya" - the brownie Nafanya and his girlfriend Fanechka frolicked among the children with pleasure, made riddles, and generously presented the participants with souvenirs for the correct answers. Here you could also subscribe to a magazine and even win it in a win-win lottery. On one of the benches, definitely “fabulous”, the well-known princess Nesmeyana settled down with the king-father. The children completed all her intricate tasks and the tsar's daughter had to part with her chest of precious candies and wonderful books. She gave everything to smart boys and girls, and therefore she cheered up.
Together with the “Biblionish” propaganda team, which performed a rap-style pourri based on the fairy tales of K. Chukovsky, the townspeople set off on a journey through the School Kingdom. The concert program "Fairytale World" and the performance "The Way of a Book from Stone to Computer" gathered a very large audience. The bookworms took part in fun events "Choose a book for yourself as a gift", "Let's invite friends to the library".
Professional educational establishments opened this day a real Encyclopedia of skill. Acquaintance with the products of their publishing centers. It was also possible to buy and exchange textbooks here. Presentation of the multi-volume "Orthodox Encyclopedia".
Not far from the shelves with publications dedicated to Russian antiquity, real heroic fights unfolded. The proposal to measure strength with the knights, dressed in real chain mail and helmets, delighted the children's audience. The children were not embarrassed by the fact that five of them piled on one hero.
Was on the Boulevard Library station.
The librarians held poll "Favorite book of the Kurgan family". Chamomile petals were attached to a specially prepared stand, on each was written the name of one, but the most beloved book. At first, the librarians themselves “grew” one flower out of their reading preferences. Gradually, chamomile after chamomile, a whole clearing blossomed on the boulevard. Disputes boiled around the stand and discussions flared up. Many called the works of Russian classics - Pushkin, Tolstoy, Lermontov, Chekhov.
For those who need professional advice, it was open consulting bureau "What to read today?".
Book counters, books for modest money; book breaks. Anyone could receive a book as a gift or exchange. The ruins were "cleared" quickly.

Many interesting forms are used in the work of librarians of the Veselovsky district. First of all, this is actions “Reading together”, “Happy holiday to you, library”, “Library on the bench”, “Literary park”, project “Open air reading room”, actions dedicated to the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, Day of White Cranes, Day of Refusal from smoking, Greetings Day, flash mobs dedicated to elections.
All of the above forms of extra-library services contribute to the fulfillment of one of the main tasks of the library - the creation of a favorable environment for obtaining new knowledge, the formation of the need for reading, cultural growth and the development of interpersonal communication among users.

“I have no interest in knowing anything, even the most useful, if only I know it alone ...”,- these words of the philosopher Seneca could become the motto of the library digest "Library Ideas Fair" - a kind of piggy bank of innovative experience in the work of public libraries.

Dear colleagues! In the library digest presented to you, you will find interesting ideas from the experience of Russian libraries of various levels, “found” by us in Internet sources and professional publications. Talk show "I'm free" (as part of the "Think fashionable" series)

Young people aged 14–25 do not visit the library very actively, so the library itself reaches out to the active youth of the city. The Central City Library of the city of Berezovsky, Sverdlovsk Region, regularly hosts talk shows “Thinking is fashionable!”

ONE OF THE TALK SHOWs called "I'm free, I'm nobody!", specialists of the centralized library system, together with the department of youth affairs, developed and held for the Youth Day. The event was preceded by a big preparatory work, which began two months before the talk show. The townspeople were asked to fill out questionnaires, in which there were only two questions: “What do young people want from adults?” and “What do adults want from young people?” These two questions were also asked on the streets of the city by representatives of local television, the survey was conducted on social networks and blogs, including the blog "How to get to the library" of our colleagues from the Sverdlovsk Regional Library for Children and Youth. As a result, more than 100 people were interviewed. Here are the main findings from the survey:

  • adults want young people to take into account their experience, respect and care for them;
  • young people want to be loved, understood, helped, not yelled at, taught, recognized as significant.

But one desire turned out to be common. It is the desire to be heard. It turns out that we do not know how to listen and hear each other.

The event itself was held on the eve of Youth Day - June 26. About 80 people gathered in the hall, which is a very good indicator for the city, especially considering that it was summer outside. At the beginning of the conversation, the problem was identified, the results of the survey were briefly summed up and the organizers of the event brought the guys to a dialogue, asking them what they think is the most important in the relationship between adults and young people.

The dialogue was attended not only by young people, but also by adults. Then the game "Tangle" was held, the purpose of which was to reveal the ability to listen and hear. The essence of the game is this. 15 people were invited to the stage. The children were given a ball of thread. Each participant must say what was important for him on this talk show. Then he wraps the thread around his finger and passes the ball to the next participant. After everyone has spoken, the ball is wound back, and the one who removes the thread from the finger next to him remembers what this player said.

As a result, out of 15 people, only two were able to repeat the statements of the participants. Our colleagues wanted to show the guys that they can't hear the people around them.

The game made them think about this problem. The next step was the search for common ground. The level of interaction in work between adults and youth was assessed. The children were given sheets where eight levels of interaction were described. After reviewing the results of the survey, it became clear that there are points of interaction. Item 4 “Information Level” scored the most points, which states that adults make decisions about the project and involve young people in certain roles as volunteers, adequately inform young people and respect their views. Young people are interested in their future in our city, and adults are also interested in conveying young generation stable and prosperous city. And this is the most important thing.

The talk show turned out to be ambiguous. At the end, a guest speaker spoke. Throughout the conversation, she provoked the youth, asked "uncomfortable" questions, tried to bring the audience into dialogue. In the end, they never came to a consensus on such difficult questions as: "Are we free?" and “Whose are we?”, but the young people left the talk show, discussing, considering everything that was said and heard, and each of them probably formed their own position.

In these talk shows, the main thing is the activity of the audience, and the activity was almost one hundred percent, a lively discussion ensued. Colleagues are sure that almost everyone who took part in this event thought about what was said. And that was our main goal. The guys, at least for a short time, but thought about something important, made certain conclusions for themselves regarding how to build relationships with each other, in the family, with elders. And adults also thought: do they always listen to the opinion of the young? hear them? Are they listening? Talk show "Think fashionable!" revealed the main problems in communication between generations, and, we hope, gave the first impetus to solve these problems.

Action "Hanging book"

The action is carried out by analogy with the amazing Neapolitan tradition of “hanging coffee”. A person approaching the bar counter will say "I'll have two coffees: regular and "suspended", take a cup of coffee, drink it and leave.

It turns out that in Naples there is such a local tradition: to pay for coffee in advance for those who do not always have money even for a cup of coffee ...

Such an action was carried out by the Pink Giraffe publishing house, the essence of which was that the buyer of a bookstore can pay for any book, which will then be delivered to orphanages, cancer centers, etc.

In the library, this action took place a little differently.

Terms of action:

Any reader can “hang up” his favorite book for a week, with his review (opinion, emotions). The action is launched for 3 months, according to the results of the action, nominal recommendatory lists of favorite books of active participants will be compiled, and a list of the library's most rated books will be created! For librarians, the interest lies in the fact that this action is designed to activate book lending, helps in the creation of recommended reading lists, and allows you to keep a reading diary of your readers.

At the beginning of the campaign, any reader can hang a book, but during the campaign, only the most active readers are selected.

To the work that participates in the action, the reader-"hanger" writes a small annotation with an assessment or opinion about the work. The book itself is placed in a specially designated place, designed in the spirit of the action. The book is exhibited for a maximum of a week.

In case of interest by her or, on the contrary, no interest shown in her, the next one on the list is put. There is a list of books participating in the action.

A sticker-mark "Hung book" is put on the book itself.

Additionally, the issuance of promotional books is fixed, as well as the queue of those who wish to read it. To notify about the appearance of a book in the library, SMS and e-mail distributions are used.

Expected results:

  1. Activation of reading, increase in the lending of the subscription.
  2. Creation of reader ratings of the best books (for example, "V. Ivanov recommends ...")
  3. Creation of ratings of the best readers.
  4. Conducting a creative competition for the most read book.

Project "Family First Aid"

Novorossiysk rural library developed and implemented the project "Emergency family assistance". The project united all the activities of the library for working with the family into a single whole, and at the same time it became publicly available for wide practical use not only by library users, but also by complete strangers associated with one significant topic- the theme of "family".

As part of the project, the library arranged and offered to users book exhibitions and reviews “First of all, we are parents”, “Secrets of family happiness”, a book exhibition-council “Family Treasure Island”. Information and bibliographic booklets and digests were developed and printed for various reader groups: "Large families: social support", "Family educational program: the procedure for calculating maternity and child benefits", "Young family 2014. Everything starts at home ...", "About you and for you, parents", "Caring parents" , "Tips for Parents on Reading to Children" and others. families.Here you can also find information on prevention bad habits in children, advice from psychologists, educators, spiritual mentors.

Also, the Family Reading Knot action was included in the Family Ambulance project. 5 bright bundles with books for children and parents were prepared for different reading groups (for families where children of preschool and younger school age, for middle and senior school age). The bundles included: books for children and parents, CDs "Family Movies", "Favorite Cartoons", puzzles for the little ones based on children's fairy tales, contributing to creative development. The bundles present the best works of children's modern and classical literature. The set of literature for parents includes books and articles on the psychology of children's reading, useful tips, memos on child education, booklets, a questionnaire, and flyers.

reading olympic games

In 2010, on the eve of the Winter Olympics in Sochi, the first Olympic Games were held at the CBS in Neftekamsk. Here they didn’t go skiing and skating, they didn’t play hockey - they read. Rather, our young readers read - preschoolers from 3 to 7 years old. Competed during the Olympics in speed reading. Participants were divided into age categories: from 3 to 4 years old; from 4 to 5 years; from 5 to 6 years; from 6 to 7 years old. As serious passions flared up at the real Olympic Games. New records were set daily, and as a result, the winners were honored on the podium and the losers wiped away the tears. Although there are no losers in this Olympiad; Here every child shows himself and shows his abilities. The "Olympic Games in Reading" have become not only traditional, but also very popular in the city. Since 2012

Such games are held not only in Neftekamsk, but also in branch libraries. The number of participants is growing year by year, and this time 363 children have already come to try their hand. But the main thing is not that the number of participants is growing, but that there are more young readers, children have an interest in books, in reading.

The competition "Olympic Games in Reading" traditionally starts in February at the Central Children's and Youth Library and runs throughout the week. Like the real Olympics, it begins with a grand opening. Parents with children, grandparents with grandchildren, teachers from kindergartens with their pupils come from early in the morning. All young readers are registered and presented with commemorative emblems "Young Book Reader", members of the expert commission are introduced, who take the children to the reading room to test their reading speed. There is silence in the reading room, only the children can be heard reading. With each participant, at a separate table, sits a member of the expert commission, in front of him is a clock with a second hand.

Everything is strict, as in the real Olympic Games. While some children read, others do not get bored either. For them, entertaining and educational games and competitions are organized. Guests of the competition are happy to participate in the slide quiz "Literary Heroes", "Fairy Tales in Pictures", the game "YES-NO-ki", in the quiz "Riddles-tricks". Intellectual games are replaced by watching cartoons and fun disco exercises. The waiting time flies by. Librarians of the children's library conduct study tours for everyone.

Many come to the library for the first time and are often very surprised by the modern interior, the abundance of colorful children's books, magazines, cozy and friendly atmosphere. Colorful book exhibitions with the best children's books attract attention. It is surprising and joyful that two- and three-year-old kids participate in the games. It seems that a person has just begun to speak, but now he is reading - and how he is reading! Some kids read better than 6-7 year olds and set real records. At the closing ceremony of the competition, the results are summed up and awarded certificates of honor and memorable prizes for the winners. All participants received certificates of participation, commemorative emblems, gifts from sponsors: balloons, notebooks, one-time subscriptions to the skating rink and sweets "Olympic Games of Reading 20--" is over. See you again.

Action-lottery "Let's put everything on the bookshelves ..."

Employees of the Central City Hospital named after N.K. Krupskaya, Samara, within the framework of the Youth Book Week, held a lottery campaign “Let's put everything on the bookshelves ...”, which was aimed at a youth audience. Lottery tickets, designed as a bookmark, had “key words” written on them (character names, literary artifacts, geographical names from works, etc.). All these words are quite recognizable for those who have read the famous literary works presented at the exhibition. There were classical works, modern bestsellers, fairy tales by foreign writers, designed for the most varied levels of erudition.

Participants of the action were offered to choose a bookmark they liked, find a book at the exhibition, to the text of which it relates, and insert the bookmark into the book. The bookmark indicated the winnings that a participant in the lottery action could receive in the event of a correctly made book choice.

Most of the young users who visited the library that day perceived the action as a fun game with prizes, the participants answered questions with pleasure. Library staff hope that the action allowed young readers to come to the conclusion that being well-read is important quality person.

Intra-library action - "Flitted from the pages: winged words and phrases of world literature"

A book exhibition of works was organized in the lobby of the library, catchphrases from which were used in the action. After reading the phrase on the selected ticket, users had to name the author and the work from which it was borrowed. Books and dictionaries of catchphrases were selected at a specially designed exhibition-hint. Everyone who guessed correctly received a small prize. This promotion was designed for readers of all ages. And here the best results were shown by representatives of the older generation. As for the young, it was a discovery for many that a common phrase first appeared on a book page.

Fanfiction-action "Your own writer"

In the Lipetsk Regional Children's Library, the service department for grades 5-11 held a fanfiction action "A Writer for Yourself". Fanfiction is a fairly old literary genre that includes any work dedicated to the object of worship and is its continuation. The content of fanfiction can be different, written in any literary style. Indeed, it is often interesting for the reader to find out what happened to the hero before or after the events described, and the fan fiction genre just allows you to create your own version.

The most interesting were the fanfiction "War of the Worlds-2", the dialogue between Romeo and Juliet "After life, and the successful conclusion of the love story" Notre Dame Cathedral. Part 2". At the end of the action, a creative workshop "Your own writer" was held, where all the works were presented and places were distributed. But the main reward for all participants was the placement of their essays on the website of the Lipetsk ODB.

Quests "Literary mafia" and "Literary crocodile"

Recently, young people have increased their interest in intellectual leisure activities. Young librarians are no exception. A team of librarians from Omsk took part in the city tournament "Improvisation", the city championship "Crocodile", geoquests.

In 2015, young librarians were involved in the organization of four large city historical quests, the participants of which were the working youth of the city of Omsk. More than 200 people went in search of adventure together with the Omsk municipal libraries. Visiting thematic stations at the historical sites of the city, Omsk residents do not report on the knowledge gained from books, but in a fascinating way they get acquainted with incredible facts from the history of the Omsk region and are imbued with a sense of pride for their small homeland.

Based on the games “Mafia” and “Crocodile”, popular among the youth, Omsk librarians developed their library versions - “Literary Mafia” and “Literary Crocodile”.

The rules in the "Literary Crocodile" are the same as in the usual "Crocodile": without uttering a sound and without pronouncing the word with lips, only gestures, facial expressions and movements for a certain period of time, the player needs to explain to his team the hidden word. Only unlike the traditional game, in our "Literary Crocodile" the tasks are not just words, but the names of literary works, the names of writers, the names and nicknames of book characters.

Characters from well-known literary works become participants in the "Literary Mafia". The main mafiosi in this version are: Vito Corleone - the leader of the mafia clan, the hero of the book by Mario Puzo, Pavel Chichikov from Nikolai Gogol's poem "Dead Souls", Rodion Raskolnikov, the character of the novel "Crime and Punishment" by Fyodor Dostoevsky and other villains of the literary underworld. Civilians - Anna Karenina, Harry Potter, Alexander Chatsky, etc. The participant who is eliminated from the game voices a literary quote written on the role card. Players erudite in literature immediately determine who left the game - a civilian or one of the negative characters.

Quest "The Hunger Games" in the library»

In November, the Lipetsk Regional scientific library turns 95 years old. And that is why the library decided to give the residents of Lipa a new educational quest "The Hunger Games".

The plot is as follows: the distant future, mankind has learned to eat with the help of information, refusing ordinary food. People get the “substances” necessary for nutrition and life from the Internet, electronic media, and electronic books. But as a result of the largest man-made disaster, humanity was left without electricity. Having lost access to the usual means of obtaining information, people began to die of hunger.

All attempts to get "food" in the usual way were unsuccessful. And then one of the oldest inhabitants of the planet offered a saving solution: he reminded people of the ancient repositories of information - libraries. Abandoned, covered with age-old dust, libraries were found. A special detachment is equipped in the storage, whose mission is to obtain information that can "feed" all the inhabitants of the planet.

During the game, participants will have to complete tasks related to the search for information: look for answers to questions in catalogs, reference publications, magazines and books from the library fund. All tasks will somehow be connected with the dystopian genre. To become one of the brave men who want to save humanity from starvation, you need to register (in person or via the Internet). The final is scheduled for December 5th. The winner will receive an e-book.

Action "Literary prediction"

According to the established tradition, on the Day of Knowledge, the employees of the Central Children's Library of Alapaevsk strive to surprise the young residents of the city with something extraordinary, to create an atmosphere of celebration and good mood. And so they organized an unusual action "Literary prediction or divination on balloons."

Lists-recommendations with the titles of books were placed in multi-colored balls, after reading which you can definitely find answers to all important and secret questions. Boys and girls chose the ball they liked, inside of which there was a prediction for the new school year. For some, the balls predicted happiness from meeting classmates and new discoveries, for some, health, friendship, interest in nature, and for older ladies, the balls prophesied first love.

Everything turned out great. During the time that the action lasted, the children were photographed by the carriage, as a symbol of travel and wanderings in the country of Knowledge, were treated to sweet prizes, read predictions with interest.

High school students were invited to take part in quiz "Wedding traditions", which consisted of the sections "Modern Russia", "Pre-revolutionary Russia", "Peoples of the World", "Wedding Attributes", "Wedding Anniversaries".

Despite the gloomy sky, the day turned out to be fun and memorable for the children and their parents.

Action "What does the library mean to you?".

On the eve of the All-Russian Day of Libraries, employees of the central and children's libraries held an advertising and image campaign on the streets of the village of Novy Torjal. The purpose of the action - on the eve of the holiday - is to once again advertise the library, its capabilities and resources, creativity, and most importantly - to give the residents of our village a good mood.

And it all went like this:

On May 23, the street action was held in the form of a mini-survey “What does the library mean to you”. In total, 6 questions were asked to those who met them, which had to be answered in one or two words: “I came to the library and ...”, “The librarian meets me ...”,
“I feel in the library…”, “For me, the library is…”, “I am leaving the library…”, “I wish the library…”. More than 40 people were interviewed. The results are, of course, very encouraging. The library, according to the residents of the village, is a meeting place with interesting people, a temple of the book, a source of knowledge. And they leave the library: inspired, in high spirits, in anticipation of new meetings, satisfied. We wished the library prosperity, creativity and that it would last forever. In the library, readers feel: at home, comfortable, cozy, like at a party. This means that no Internet, no other services can replace the LIBRARY. And this means that our colleagues perform the main function of libraries - to warm hearts and enlighten minds.

Bright creative forms of work of libraries in Russia

LIBMOB is a fun action game. The purpose of this form is to enhance the image of the library. The basis of Libmob is a blitz survey of city residents about the way to the library. Anyone who knows the way to the library gets something nice, like a smiley. Anyone who does not know where the library is located receives a calendar with the address of the library and contact information.

SCREEN OF READ BOOKS. This form allows you to demonstrate the dynamics of reading books by library readers. On the screen, along with the image of recommended books, there are photos of readers who have read them. This form allows you to reflect the reader's picture of a particular library. Readers on the screen can see their loved ones, friends, thereby they will show interest in the book that will be depicted with their photo, and perhaps this will become an occasion to take it for reading and a future topic of conversation with the person from the screen.

LITERARY KARAOKE. This is a competition of readers, held under musical accompaniment. As in karaoke, a melody sounds, and we sing a song, so in literary karaoke, music sounds, and we read poetry. The musical accompaniment is matched to the rhythm, the size of the poem, and even to the mood that it carries. The reader does not know in advance what kind of poem he will read and to what melody. He must intuitively catch the rhythm of verse and music, and then a wonderful literary and musical performance of poetry will turn out.

LUCKY NUMBER. This is a promotion based on a lottery. During January, after re-registration, each reader was given a personal number, which then participated in the final lottery. The day of summing up is appointed. On this day, readers are invited to pull out 25 “lucky” numbers from a glass ball. Their owners receive useful prizes: stationery, bookmarks, books, etc. Thanks to this action, the process of re-registration of readers is accelerated, the library has new readers and assistants.

BOOK AUCTION Here the participants present in the most advantageous light one, the most favorite book. By counting those who want to read the book, the winner is selected.

Bibliofresh (from English - "fresh") - a bibliographic review of new literature. It can be both general and narrowly focused.

Recently, such an active form of work with readers as an action has become widespread in libraries.
Action (lat. actio) is an action aimed at achieving a goal. Depending on the goals set, the actions held in libraries can be conditionally classified into several types:
charities,
the protests,
in support of reading.
What distinguishes the action from other forms of mass events?
Action is involvement (movement, action), the ability to create an event to achieve the goal.
Action - it should be bright!
The action is a large complex event, the duration of which depends on the tasks set.
In order to give importance to the action, to get from it not only public outcry, but, above all, effective result, it is necessary to clearly consider the goals, content and organization of events held within the framework of the action. For this you need:
1. Understanding what the result should be (a clear goal - a clear result);
2. A clear scenario (program) with a task for each participant and a culminating event during the action. Each major event of the action program should have a separate scenario;
3. Bright format ( good name, slogan, unusual paraphernalia, bright action, etc.);
4. Attracting partners on a mutually beneficial basis;
5. Advertising events, media information support;
6. Competitiveness (competitions, tournaments);
7. Use of modern means of communication (Internet, mobile communications, etc.);
8. Encouragement of participants of the action and demonstration of its results.

Step by step to create a share:

Step #1. Definition of an information occasion.
The reason for the action can be any:
Significant (anniversary) calendar date: political, historical, literary, etc. (on the scale of the country, region, city, etc.); leading theme of the year;
significant event in the country, the world (new bill, elections, military conflict, disaster, etc.);
· a problem that worries everyone (ecology, drug addiction, AIDS, Nazism, etc.);
· a problem that worries certain categories of the population: parents, teachers, librarians (reading for children, youth; legal education of youth, family reading, etc.);
· the problem of the institution, in particular the library: lack of funds, books; closing of the library, etc.;
Implementation of the program, project in the library.
Sometimes an informational occasion is on the surface - it is covered in all the media, disturbs the minds of the population, is actively discussed.

Step #2. Definition of the target audience.
Determining the main participants of the action is very important. The development of the entire action program depends on this. The more specific the reader groups (participants of the action), the more visual and effective the result of the action can be.
· Youth (students, working youth, high school students);
children (preschoolers, schoolchildren of different ages, children with deviant behavior, children with disabilities);
young parents. Many libraries start working with this audience literally from the first months of pregnancy;
Readers conditionally divided into groups according to professional characteristics:
Ø Entrepreneurs,
Ø teachers and educators,
Ø employees, etc.;
general reader. This is the largest group, but one-day promotions, promotions are most often designed for such an audience. general.

Step #3 Key points of the promotion.
Determining the key points of the planned action: what is, what is planned, what resources are there, who are the participants, who is the action intended for, what results are expected, etc. All these points are very important and should be specific.

Step #4. Planning.
It includes:
Determination of the topic of the action;
Determination of the purpose and objectives of the action;
name, slogan
Determining the date (place, time) of the event;
· development of regulations on holding the action;
distribution and assignment of those responsible for the action;
drawing up lists of organizers, participants, invited guests;
distribution of press releases, media involvement;
preparation of promotion attributes;
preparation and replication of printed materials (posters, bookmarks, booklets, etc.);
Determining the share price.

Step #5 Writing a script (program) for an action.

The action is a large and bright complex event of an eventful nature. And for it to be such, the script must contain a key event: a theatrical action, a colorful procession, a concert, a game show, etc.
The scenario (program) of the action according to the saturation with events depends on its purpose. The duration of the action also depends on the goal.
Approximate forms of events of the action program:
Ø holidays, presentations, excursions, processions;
Ø meetings with writers, famous people;
Ø discussions, contests, photo contests, quizzes;
Ø surveys, questionnaires, testing;
Ø games, puppet and other theatrical performances;
Ø book exhibitions-views, loud readings.

Step #6. Conducting an action.
The action requires one coordinator (moderator, presenter, organizer - the one who knows the answers to all questions and leads the entire action). The organizer must know all the options for holding the promotion in case of unforeseen circumstances:
Ø What if the weather is bad?
Ø What if there are fewer participants than planned?
Ø What to do if there are not enough funds, prizes?
Ø What to do if the media does not come?

Step #7. Share analysis.
At the end of the action, a final report is usually prepared, which includes the following important components:
the course of the event as a whole;
the most successful moments and shortcomings, as well as the difficulties encountered in organizing the event;
the overall effectiveness of the event;
Responses in the media to the action;
Feedback from the participants of the action.

The ability to create actions lies in the ability to combine form and content. This is the main algorithm of the action: CONTENT - WHAT ?; FORM - HOW?
