It depends on how strong our entire army will be. Therefore, children with serious illnesses may be considered unfit for military service.

Although in reality, in almost 90% of cases, even those young people who cannot serve for health reasons are taken into the army. This is related to the call plan to be followed.

Let's try to figure out in more detail what categories of fitness for military service exist, who is entitled to a deferment, and who cannot become a conscript at all.

General information

There are several reasons why a young person may not be drafted into the army. All of them are listed in article 23 of the law under the number 53-FZ.

One of the most common reasons is a young person's health condition that prevents him from serving.

Specifically, in order to conduct a call to the ranks of soldiers, certain categories of fitness were created. It is on their basis that it is determined whether a citizen can pay his military duty.

For this, a medical examination is carried out to examine the health at the time of service. In addition to the state of health, the reasons for not being drafted into the army may be:

  • passage of civilian alternative service;
  • do not call up citizens who serve or have already served in the army;
  • if a person has already completed military service in another country;
  • if a citizen has degree approved special scientific attestation;
  • cases where a citizen is the son or brother of servicemen who died as a result of the performance of military duties;
  • if a citizen at the time of conscription is serving a sentence of imprisonment or forced labor;
  • if a citizen has an outstanding conviction, an inquiry is being conducted against him or he is a suspect in the trial.

Disease Schedule

The list of diseases for which they are not taken to serve is constantly updated. In 2014, the military leadership of the country introduced the wording of the law regarding diseases in which they are not taken into the army.

It is relevant in 2019 as well. In total there are more than two thousand illnesses exempting from service. Among the most common are the following:

Diseases of the musculoskeletal system Flat feet of the third form, a strong form of scoliosis and others
Problems with the gastrointestinal system Polyps, all types of stomach ulcers
Cardiovascular diseases
Tuberculosis
Neurological problems Paralysis, epilepsy, consequences of serious injuries
Genitourinary diseases Urolithiasis, pyelonephritis, nephritis
Enuresis
Diseases of the endocrine systems Excessive obesity, diabetes
Serious vision problems
Serious food allergy
Inadequate physical activity

If the conscript finds his disease on the schedule, then he will be able to determine whether he can count on receiving a full exemption or if he is entitled to a deferment. The schedule of illnesses is possible.

The question of whether the disease of a young man allows him to serve in the army is decided by a special selection committee. It all depends on how severe the form of the disease is and on the decision of the medical board.

The legislative framework

All questions regarding the procedure for conscription into the army of the Russian Federation are considered in the Federal Law under number 53 of 1998, as amended on 03/07/2018. The list of diseases is listed in the special disease regulations.

It is compiled annually. The grounds on which a person cannot be drafted into the army are listed in article 23 of the law under the number 53-FZ.

Medical indicators of fitness for the army

If you just received a summons to the army, then you should not be scared right away. The first agenda is needed in order to evaluate your category. This is necessary to find out if you are fit for service and ate and then for which particular type of troops.

Where can I find categories for health reasons

It strictly evaluates the health status of a potential conscript. No one is involved in making any diagnosis or prescribing the necessary treatment.

The main purpose of this commission is to determine the degree of suitability and the appointment of a suitable branch of service in which a particular young man will be most appropriate.

After receiving the summons, the conscript must appear at the military registration and enlistment office at the place of his registration. There he will have to undergo the following doctors:

  • neuropathologist;
  • surgeon
  • psychiatrist;
  • ophthalmologist;
  • Laura;
  • therapist;
  • dentist.

There they talk about their state of health, whether they have any diseases and what diseases they had previously.

Based on the opinion of each individual specialist, a decision is made on the category and fitness for service. This allows you to determine what kind of wax to send the future soldier.

What are the types (A, B, C, D, D and their decoding)

On the this moment there are only 5 categories for evaluating the suitability of potential military personnel:

Factors preventing recruitment

If we talk about the factors hindering the service for health reasons, then the following categories are considered not conscription:

He is automatically credited to the reserve and receives a military ID. If this category exists, a second medical examination is not required, even if the state of health changes in the future.

"B" is set only if the citizen can confirm the presence of an appropriate diagnosis. Another category that allows you not to serve legally is "G".

It does not completely exempt from military service, but provides only a small respite. Deferment from military service is granted due to injury or illness.

It can be granted for a period of six months to a year. In the future, the conscript once again passes a medical commission, according to the results of which he can go to serve.

According to the provisions of the legislation of 2005, in the presence of category "D", in the future, no additional commissions are required to confirm the disease.

For a young man to be classified as “D”, his diagnosis must be exactly as indicated in the Schedule of Diseases.

If the chairmen of the commission have the slightest suspicion regarding the degree and seriousness of his illness, then he will be sent for an additional examination.

If a citizen refuses to undergo a consultation in a special clinic, then the commission has the right to decide on the category of suitability according to the actual state at the moment. In this case, instead of category "D", most likely, category "B" will be assigned.

Restrictions in the implementation of further professional activities

If young man category "B" or "D" was assigned, then in the future he may have some difficulties in hiring.

This is especially true for attempts to get a job in the following bodies:

However, after the updated regulation on the conduct of a medical examination was introduced, the situation changed slightly.

Now the procedure involves the re-passing of the medical commission to identify the likelihood of a change in the health of citizens who were previously classified as category B.

If the re-examination reveals changes, then a corresponding note is made on the military ID indicating the new category.

Such an order, in some cases, still allows you to get a job in the units listed above without serving in the army.

However, this does not mean at all that military commissions will stop requesting data on why a citizen did not do military service.

The data of these commissions will continue to be taken into account when deciding whether to accept a citizen in a particular unit or not.

There is a common myth that citizens who are declared unfit are subject to a restriction on obtaining a driver's license. This is not entirely true.

How is eligibility for service determined?

Fitness for service is determined by the results of a medical examination and an additional examination. In order for the military registration and enlistment office to determine the health indicator most objectively, it is imperative to take with you to the medical examination all certificates, extracts and any other medical documents that speak of health problems. In addition, before the medical examination, it is necessary to pass blood and urine tests, undergo fluorography and ECG. Without the results of these studies, the statement of the fitness category will be considered illegal.

Recruit Assistance Service Memo

According to the law, all tests for the military registration and enlistment office must be taken before the medical board and before setting the fitness category, and not after the draft board.

What are the categories of fitness for military service?

In total, there are five categories of fitness for the army:

  • - fit for military service.
  • - fit for service with minor restrictions.
  • "B" - limited fit for military service.
  • - temporarily unusable.
  • - unfit for military service.

Category "B": limited fit for military service

There is no need to re-examine and confirm the diagnosis. However, if category “B” was put on the initial registration, then after the 18th birthday, the young person will have to go through recruiting again and confirm this category, since the state of health can change in 1-2 years.

It can sometimes be difficult to make out what "limited military service" means and how it differs from "slightly eligible for military service." Eligible with minor restrictions (category "B") means that the conscript has health problems, but he will still serve in the army with a restriction on the choice of troops.

Expert opinion

The category of fitness for military service "B" is set to a conscript only if he has proved that his state of health is the basis for exemption from service, and the conscription activities were carried out without violations. How to get the category "B", read on the page «» .

Ekaterina Mikheeva, head of the legal department of the Assistance Service for Conscripts

How to get the category "B":

  1. Prepare for a medical examination at the military registration and enlistment office: collect documents confirming the diagnosis.
  2. Pass the medical examination. Tell the doctors about the complaints and show the documents.
  3. Get a referral for additional testing.
  4. Complete the prescribed tests and confirm the non-invitable diagnosis.
  5. At the meeting of the draft board, you will receive the desired category of suitability.
  6. If the commission makes an unlawful decision, appeal it in court.

Is it necessary to undergo re-certification?

It is not necessary to undergo re-examination and confirm the category of fitness at the military registration and enlistment office. Conscripts with a fitness category "B" are not taken into the army even if they manage to cure their disease.

Previously, the regulatory legal acts indicated the need to undergo a medical re-examination procedure every three years, but Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 886 canceled this provision. Now the issuance of a military ID for health reasons is final. Re-confirmation of the diagnosis is not required. The only way to be in the army with a category "B" is to undergo a re-examination and enroll in contract service of your own free will.

Diseases for which category "B" is required

The Schedule of Diseases contains a complete list of diseases for which conscripts are eligible for exemption from the army in the fitness category "B". Some of them can be found in Table 1.

A huge role for conscripts is played by the categories of fitness for the army. They determine if a person is suitable for being in the armed forces. Russian Federation. The category also reflects general state conscript health: whether he was seriously ill or not. What features should be considered? How is a citizen's eligibility for conscription determined? All this further!

Medical Board

If you received a summons to the army, do not be alarmed. The first appearance at the military registration and enlistment office is necessary in order to establish your category. That is, to determine how fit you are for service. This will help send you to the appropriate troops to return the debt to the Motherland.

The categories of fitness for the army are established when passing a medical commission at the military commissariat. Just for this, all adult men in the country are urged to appear at the military registration and enlistment office at the place of residence. There, each conscript passes the following doctors:

  • ophthalmologist;
  • surgeon;
  • therapist;
  • neuropathologist;
  • dentist;
  • psychiatrist.

As a rule, therapists are the last to go through. They will need to tell about their illnesses (what and when they were sick, whether there are any diseases now). Based on the conclusions received from the rest of the "narrow" specialists, a decision will be made on how fit you are for the service. In the end, according to the data received about your health, it will be possible to identify you to certain troops of the armed forces of the Russian Federation.

What are

The federal law "On military service" (dated March 28, 1998) establishes the exact classification of the suitability of conscripts. They are the ones who play important role in the distribution of men in military units. What categories of fitness for military service are there in Russia? At the moment there are:

  • A (A1-A3);
  • B (B1-B4);

This is exactly the classification. What does each of these points mean? It is worth dwelling on them in more detail. Especially if you want to find out for yourself where they can determine for the service with one or another "assessment" of the health of the conscript.

Category "A"

So, the first option is full suitability. It is marked with the letter "A". Such people have perfect health, do not get sick, have no problems at all. An extremely rare occurrence in modern world, but it does exist. This category has subcategories. They make some clarifications regarding the conscript and the characteristics of his body.

The mark A1 denotes simply excellent health. That is, when the conscript never had any serious illnesses at all. He is fully serviceable. Such people are usually sent everywhere, even to elite troops (presidential regiment, Marines, airborne troops, ships and submarines).

What other eligibility categories are there? The army of the Russian Federation is formed from people with different health. Sometimes they are assigned an A2 rating. Such an assessment is assigned to a conscript if he had any serious illnesses or injuries (concussion, fractures). We can say that such citizens are fit, but with restrictions on the load.

A3 - the person is generally in perfect health, but he has some vision problems. The load is limited. Indicator "3" allows you to send a conscript to the special forces and special forces.

Category "B"

The categories of fitness for the army do not end there. After passing the medical commission, you can see a mark on the health assessment "B". Under such circumstances, a citizen is eligible for military service, but with minor restrictions. Usually, this category is given to those who have minor health deviations that do not interfere with military service. For example, flat feet or myopia is less than 6 diopters.

B1 - with a similar assessment, you can serve in the Air Force, air assault and special units, border troops.

B2 - it is allowed to be drivers of tanks and crews, serve on submarines and ships, be engineers on the basis of tractors and tank devices.

B3 - usually assigned if you have flat feet. The army (the categories of fitness are already known to us in general terms) calls on citizens with certain diseases at the discretion of doctors as drivers and crew of military vehicles, armored personnel carriers, and launchers. It is also allowed to stay in the internal parts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, guards, chemical and anti-aircraft missile "departments". Airborne and Marine Corps are a few more possible definitions of a conscript.

B4 - citizens with this category of fitness are called up for service in radio engineering and "communication" units. They can also be specialists in the protection and defense of missile systems, they are sent to special facilities.

Category "B"

Perhaps, many wish to receive this assessment of health. After the call to the army has been made, the categories of fitness will play a huge role in the distribution of potential soldiers in parts. When you are assigned a grade B by the medical commission, you can not be afraid of the service. Why?

The thing is that this criterion indicates a limited suitability. AT Peaceful time conscript will not serve. He receives a military ID in his hands, is drafted into the armed forces only in wartime. To get this category, you must have a number of special diseases. Their complete list should be checked with doctors, and it is also set out in the Federal Law of March 28, 1998 "On Military Service".

Category "G"

What else is worth paying attention to? Military eligibility categories may reflect a conscript's deferment for one reason or another. In this case, you will be given a grade of "G". It's called "temporarily out of order".

In this case, the delay is granted from 6 months to 1 year. After this period, you will have to go through a medical commission again. As a rule, such a mark is issued in the presence of any diseases that can be cured. In any case, if there is even the slightest chance of such a favorable outcome.

As already mentioned, category "G" is assigned for a maximum of a year. But it has one small feature - it is confirmation. It can occur until the conscript reaches the age at which it is no longer necessary to serve. To be more precise, up to 27 years. If instead of category "G" they try to assign you a "health assessment" "C", you should go to court.

Category "D"

And now the last category of suitability remains. It is marked with the letter "D". This is a complete unfitness for military conscription. And for life. As a rule, it is issued in the presence of serious diseases. A military ID will be issued to a citizen, but it will contain a corresponding note.

With category "D", the conscript also mentions in his passport that he is unfit for conscription. True, for a citizen in some cases, this indicator can be deplorable. Indeed, if there are any restrictions on service in the army, a person will be deprived of the possibility of employment in certain areas of activity. For example, related to the authorities.

findings

Now it is clear on what principles citizens are drafted into the armed forces. The army's highest fitness category is "A". In practice, they try to assign it to many. But most still strive to get a grade of "B" or "D".

Please note - if there are suspicions about the incorrect assignment of the category of suitability, it is necessary to appear in court with a statement of claim. In practice, many conscripts are trying to assign a higher "assessment" of health in order to attract them to military duty. Carefully study the list of diseases characteristic of a particular category, and then file complaints if you notice violations.

In 2018, the list of diseases in which they are not allowed to serve for the benefit of the Fatherland is quite large. most main reason unfitness is a serious dysfunction and severe congenital disease.

Categories of fitness for military service

In 2018, there are five categories for which the commission determines the degree of suitability of a recruit.

  • fit;
  • suitable with few restrictions;
  • has a limited validity;
  • temporarily unfit for military service;
  • unfit.

In case of controversial issues, the citizen is assigned an additional examination and, if necessary, treatment in a hospital.

After its completion, a repeated commission is appointed, where the final decision is made:

  • for military service;
  • call him for alternative civilian service;
  • grant a reprieve;
  • conduct an exemption from conscription;
  • put in reserve;
  • on legitimate grounds to grant freedom from military duty.

The law of the Russian Federation states that the draft age of men lasts up to 27 years, then they are not subject to service.

A citizen can also be recognized as unfit if there are significant dysfunctions in case of peptic ulcer of the stomach and intestines, hernia, psoriasis. Conscripts who do not have limbs or fingers on their feet and hands, which impede movement, flat feet and chronic kidney disease, cannot serve.
