Tver Agricultural Academy
The Tver Agricultural Academy (TSAA) became the successor of the Tver State Agricultural Institute. The changes took place in 1995. The institute itself was organized in 1972.
The first rector of the Tver Agricultural Institute was V.M. Titov. He headed the university until 1976. From that until 2004, for 28 years, the higher educational institution was headed by the Honored Worker of Agriculture, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Professor A.A. Khodyrev. Under him, the institute received the status of an academy and to this day is referred to as the Tver State Agricultural Academy. In 2004-2009, the rector was Professor, Honored Worker of Agriculture Yu.T. Farinyuk. Currently, the management of the university is carried out by O.R. Balayan. Previously, he headed the Military Academy of Aerospace Defense. G.K. Zhukov.
Structure of TGSHA
To date, there are three faculties at the TSAA Tver: economics, engineering and technology. Students are trained according to the programs of the specialist (5 years) and bachelor's degree (4 years).
Tver Agricultural Academy consists of 5 academic buildings. The comfort of learning is provided by comfortable hostels for students, a cultural and leisure center, a library, a sanatorium and a sports complex. The total area of the material and technical base of the academy is 100 thousand sq.m. Half of this area is occupied by educational laboratories. At the disposal of students are many halls for diploma and course design, lecture audiences, computer classes. Practical training of future specialists for the country's agriculture takes place in the Sakharovo training and experimental farm, which is a diversified agricultural enterprise.

The structure of TGSHA also includes: an intersectoral center for labor protection and fire safety, a center for organizing internships and employment of graduates, a cultural and educational center, a center for information and consulting services for the agro-industrial complex of the Tver region.
Educational and educational work TGSHA Tver
The total number of TSAA students on a part-time and full-time basis is about 3 thousand people. The teaching staff of the university exceeds 150 people. Students are taught by experienced scientists, most of whom are candidates and doctors of science.
There are many interesting information for future students. In their free time, students can engage in numerous circles, studios and sections of artistic, amateur and sports creativity. The socio-psychological service of the academy conducts master classes, seminars and trainings: how to do everything, effective communication, achieving goals and much more. Regular excursions to museums and cities of our country are held by the cultural and educational center. Collective screenings of films are held in their own cinema club. The task of such leisure is the formation of media literacy of students.
