Why a story?

"Mani, or the ABC of money" is written in the form of a story. Here too

used lessons from "The Path to Financial Independence". In the story

describes the problems that are encountered along the way, and what of this

it turns out. Mani is a talking dog that teaches

twelve year old girl handling money. And not only Kira

she herself learns how to deal with money, but also helps her

parents to get rid of financial difficulties.

I wanted to write a book that would touch hearts

readers and open them to all the riches that

presents us with life - and money is one of them.

What will you get from reading this story? If you are already familiar with the "Path to

financial independence", then "The ABC of money" will deepen your understanding

more importantly, you will be able to look at your problems differently in order to

new, creatively solve them, or even benefit from them.

If you haven't read The Path to Financial Independence, then

The story will give you confidence in your abilities. Adventures

the heroes of our history, perhaps, will inspire you. you with new force

feel your freedom, your potential and your strength.

And the work of art is not without problems.

However, I must confess that I did not always believe in the value

similar books. I feared that the reader would simply try to imitate

hero instead of seeing hidden behind the artistic facade

principles. After all, the history of someone's success rarely can be repeated. BUT

well-learned principles help to find the best way out of

difficult situation. In the same way, I was afraid that the reader would become

It also worried me that the art form of a book might become

In addition, an overly complex presentation is often only

time, only that which is difficult to understand is perceived as

correct. In full accordance with the saying "It can not be so

simply," we tend to put aside ancient and well-understood truths.

But it really is "so easy". Just as described in this book.

However, I must point out one significant difference: what is simply

to understand, is not at all so easy to do. The laws of wealth are simple for

understanding, but not easy to follow.

Often this is where help is needed. And such help too

described in the book.

This story, originally called "Dog named Money", I

wrote for children. (And you can still buy it in the "nursery"

I was wrong...

But after the release of "Dog Named Money" I received hundreds of letters.

Letters from adults. And they all said the same thing:

"This story pushed me more to action, because

touched my feelings", "I was very touched", "For the first time I was able to

approach the topic of money", "I finally understood how I can achieve

These responses showed how wrong I was in my assessments. Yes, it's better

Using the example of a children's story, he shows us the path to wealth. Even readers who have come out of childhood will notice very quickly that Schaefer's advice and ideas are quite applicable to the adult world, that a person of any age can implement them and learn something new.

Little Kira and her friends learn to handle money, save it, multiply it and get rid of debt. They begin to understand how to make the dream of a prosperous life come true. Bodo Schäfer explains in a completely understandable way each step leading to wealth and shows that not only the possession of wealth, but also the process of earning money can bring pleasure.

Foreword

There are not many people in the world who would not want to become richer. Some of us dream about it all the time. Others claim that they would like to be richer only in certain areas of life, not necessarily financial. In general, most people want to become happier and wealthier.

And there is nothing wrong or shameful in this desire. After all, well-being is a right given to each of us from birth. If we do not lack money, then we lead a more worthy life, we can bring more joy to ourselves and to those around us. One of the biggest misconceptions of mankind is the idea that it is necessary to limit oneself financially and that this shows almost the main dignity of a person.

Let's get rid of delusions

And yet, most people are constantly short of money. Between their dreams and real life- an abyss. And they think it's completely normal. I decided to put an end to this delusion and wrote the book "The Path to Financial Freedom", where I consistently laid out my mentor's advice leading to wealth. This book will allow you to earn your first million in seven years!

Why do we need a children's story?

"Mani, or the ABC of money" is written in the form of a story for children. The same thoughts and advice are used here as in the book "The Path to Financial Independence". And the narrative form is needed in order to more clearly show the difficulties that we face in the course of their implementation. The most incredible things happen in it. Mani is a talking dog who teaches a twelve-year-old girl how to handle money. And not only this. At the same time, she helps her parents get out of a difficult financial situation.

I wanted to write a book that would touch your soul. Let your heart open to the many riches that life has in store for us, including money.

What will you get from reading this book? If you are already familiar with The Path to Financial Independence, this story will deepen your understanding of the issue it addresses. You will have new thoughts and a new perspective on the situation, and you will learn to show originality. creativity to solve life's problems.

This story will strengthen your faith in your own abilities. The adventures of the heroes will not leave you indifferent, and you will once again think about your freedom and unrealized potential.

Success Stories Don't Solve All Problems

I must confess that I have not always attached great importance similar stories. It seemed to me that people would simply begin to imitate the successful heroes of such stories, instead of deeply understanding the principles of success.

Such stories rarely apply in your life. The principles will indicate the surest way out of a difficult situation. Also, it worries me when people admire the author and try to imitate his actions instead of assimilating the truth. Personal experience, unlike proven principles, cannot be fully transferred to someone else's life.

In addition, all sorts of complex models often disorient people. In our age high technology one often gets the impression that only those thoughts that a mere mortal is not able to understand can indicate the path to success. We brush aside simple fundamental truths, guided by the principle: "It's too simple." But everything is simple. It is quite another difficult thing to follow these tips. The laws of wealth are easy to understand, but difficult to put into practice. This sometimes requires outside help. Where to find this help is also mentioned in the book.

Actually, this book was originally called "A Dog Named Mani" and was intended only for children. There, the narrative form was quite appropriate and allowed children to effortlessly master the path to wealth and success. These are just the topics that many families do not like to talk about.

I was delusional...

But after the book came out, I received several hundred letters from adults. They all said about the same thing: “This story pushed me to action because it touched my emotions”, “This book disturbed my soul”, “For the first time I understood what money is”, “Finally it dawned on me how you can get really rich."

These responses showed me that my initial assessments were wrong. Today I fully realized that it is better to see once than to hear a hundred times. And a fascinating story that a person “sees” with his heart is sometimes more important than ten thousand right words. Therefore, my book is intended for both children and adults.

Storytelling allows distance

We adults are interested in reading the story of a little girl. Although the story is close to us, it allows us to maintain a comfortable distance. After all, this is just a children's story about children's problems, from which we have long grown. Children's concerns do not affect us as much as our own. They are not that serious. We understand that many of the tasks that children face have already been successfully solved by us.

What if we try to learn a lesson from this story? Let's imagine our life in the form of such a story, at least for a while. Imagine that we are already very rich and condescendingly look at our financial “childhood”. Let's look at our current situation as if from a distance. It will be a story in which typical problems arise that we have long solved. Perhaps we will even be able to smile, recognizing our "former mistakes." We will not take our problems too seriously and realize that we are not prisoners of this situation. That's what a story like this is for.

A guide is needed today more than ever.

But it's not just a story. Here we are talking rather, about the laws of success and wealth described in the book "The Path to Financial Freedom". These principles are the universal and eternal axiom of prosperity.

Speaking of their universality, I mean that they are applicable always and everywhere - in any society, in any culture, in any situation. Speaking of their eternity, I mean that they never change. This is of particular importance in today's rapidly changing world, where everything is becoming more complex and confusing, and one new and improved product replaces another. At such a time, a guide is needed, in the role of which these eternal principles act precisely. By calling them an axiom, I mean that there is no need to argue about them.

ancient principles

If you think I'm taking on too much, then let me make two remarks. First, these principles are not invented by me. They have always existed - just like the laws of nature. They govern our lives whether we like it or not. Even if we deny them, they do not lose their significance from this. I just translated these principles into understandable language and gave them some structure.

Secondly, I believe that all successful people live by these laws. Journalists and TV presenters often ask me to prove that we are really talking about laws. And I give examples of people who have read my books and attended my seminars. But I believe that you yourself can find much best examples. Think of a successful person, group of people, organization or firm. Analyze the path they took and you will find all the evidence you need.

It does not matter at all whether these people can tell you the laws of wealth that they follow. Some of them may not even like what I write. It's quite normal. I don't mind criticism - everyone who writes books for the general public is subject to it. And some people simply will not understand the story told here. Perhaps they will come up with completely different examples to demonstrate these principles, or they will interpret them in a different way. All this is also completely normal and only indicates that all people are different. Nevertheless, the life of each person always serves as a proof of universal and eternal laws.

Useful and necessary knowledge

This book will show you the way to wealth and success. But she will not tell you how money came into being. Perhaps such knowledge is useful, but it will not give you anything in terms of gaining wealth and happiness. I limited myself to only the necessary knowledge and describe specific steps to well-being that I have done myself.

The danger of simplicity

Just as an overly complicated description distracts from the essence of the problem, the presentation of simple fundamental truths is fraught with certain dangers. Very often, in this case, we easily conclude: "I already know this." To do this, it is enough to see a few familiar words in the text. This kind of thinking can become a trap for you. After all, often when we see something familiar, we stop learning. We are no longer interested in the true meaning of what was said, since we believe that we already know everything. In addition, we are talking about not only learning something new, but also putting into practice what is already known.

Principles of Wealth

Kira, who in my story learns how to handle money, gradually learns all the new principles of wealth creation. Here are the most important ones.

1. First, decide what money means to you.

2. Make a list of your desires (name ten reasons why you want to get rich). Choose the three most important of them.

3. Turn to the support of the subconscious: "Dream Piggy Bank" and "Dream Album".

4. A high income alone cannot solve all our money problems.

5. Nothing should distract you from your own intentions and plans. Learn to imagine yourself rich.

6. It won't always be easy. Someone will talk you out of reaching your goals. Sometimes it will even be friends and family members. Turn to the means that will not let you go astray.

7. "Success Diary" allows you to increase earnings and instills the self-confidence necessary to achieve success.

8. Make your hobby your profession, and due to this, your income will increase even more.

9. There are important matters and urgent matters. Learn to distinguish them. Don't let yourself be distracted from good intentions.

10. Use the most important rule for the implementation of any plans - the 72-hour rule.

11. You can earn a lot of money by playing.

12. Four main rules for getting out of debt: tear up credit cards; negotiate the lowest loan payments; set aside fifty percent of all the remaining money, and spend another fifty percent on paying off consumer debts; put a note in your wallet with the question: “Do you really need this?”.

13. Learn to manage your money. Forget the story about the goose that laid the golden eggs.

14. Communication with the bank can be a joy.

15. Making money makes your life more interesting.

16. Money is great! Keep cash in the safe.

17. Money is "neutral." But they are closely related to happiness.

18. Share what you get.

19. Learn to deal with fears. The Success Diary will help you.

20. One of the main ways to increase money is an investment club. Five rules to ensure its success: meetings are held once a month. Attendance is strictly required, everyone makes a contribution in cash; money is not withdrawn from the general fund; All decisions are made collectively.

21. A magic formula that allows you to get money out of nothing: love for money and the desire to earn it; self-confidence, ideas and willingness to do what we like; allocation of money for daily expenses, the use of long-term desires and for the "chicken"; skillful investment of money; pleasure from the whole process.

22. The three most important rules for investing money: they must be reliable, profitable, and they must be easy to manage.

23. Find out what stocks are and how much income they give (foreign exchange earnings and dividends). Decide for yourself if you should invest in stocks.

24. Get out of your comfort zone from time to time and do things you fear.

25. Determine for yourself the practically optimal form and investment strategy. Twelve percent per annum is not bad!

26. Investment funds are reliable and give good returns. There are three criteria for choosing a reliable fund: it must exist for at least ten years and achieve high profits; it must be a large international equity fund; this fund should have a high rating.

27. Investing in funds is pretty easy.

28. Money in the fund grows according to the law of compound interest.

29. Estimate the ratio of risk and expected return.

30. Calculate percentages in your head - it's easy!

31. It is necessary to make a profit even when the rate suddenly falls.

32. Find out what you need to know to get high returns in the fund.

33. Determine how inflation can affect your savings. Learn how to invest so that inflation becomes your best friend.

34. Money affects all other areas of our lives. Pay more attention to finances and your life will change.

You will be surprised

Sometimes one good idea is enough to secure your well-being. But here I would like to draw your attention to one surprising circumstance. When you have “big money”, sometimes it happens so quickly and in such quantities that you involuntarily ask yourself the question: where was all this money before?

This phenomenon is all the more surprising because it completely refutes the widespread misconception that prosperity can be achieved only as a result of years hard work. Prosperity and wealth are, rather, the product of a certain way of thinking, special life principles. When these prerequisites are created, everything happens much easier than it is commonly thought. Therefore, this book has a subtitle: "To success and prosperity - effortlessly."

Ignorance equals surrender

Most people don't pay enough attention to their finances. In this respect, they resemble a three-year-old child who closes his eyes and believes that now no one will see him. Finances will still remain, and if we do not take care of them, they will turn into a negative factor that will completely deprive us of the joy of life. The one who does not think about his money does not think first of all about himself and his future. Of course, it takes a certain amount of courage to ask yourself what kind of life you want to live. But financial freedom is now available to everyone. Seneca said about this: “We do not start things not because they are difficult. They are difficult because we don't start them."

Nothing can stop you

A person who has mastered the principles outlined in the ABC of Money will see for himself that his financial situation begins to improve. Nothing can stop an idea if its time has come. This statement is true for every person. No one and nothing can prevent you from enjoying the right given to you from birth - to be rich. Dignity and financial freedom are our natural right. No one will be able to lead you astray if you don't let it. Why? Because your time has come.

Our life is like a journey. If you properly understand the topic of money, then this journey will open up opportunities for you that you never dreamed of.

Kira is the best example of this statement. At first, she could not even clearly articulate her dreams. Then she firmly believed in their implementation. Of course, there were some difficulties, but when she achieved her goals, and even earlier than she could imagine, there was a feeling that it simply could not be otherwise. Along the way, she experienced events that surpassed all her wildest dreams.

I wish the same for you. Formulate your dream, turn it into reality and make discoveries in your journey that you never even dreamed of.

And now it's time to start our story about a dog named Mani, about Kira, about the ABC of money and much more...

Sincerely, Bodo Schaefer

1. White Labrador

I have long dreamed of having a dog. But we rented an apartment, and the owner forbade keeping dogs in the house. My dad tried to talk to him, but it was no use. There are people with whom it is simply impossible to talk. He claimed that the other tenants were against dogs. This is complete nonsense. I knew the families on the third and fourth floors would also like to have dogs. The thing is that the owner himself did not like animals.

My dad once said, “It's not about the dog. He does not love himself and does not want others to feel good. I once carefully observed the owner. He really was unhappy and very angry because of it. When my mother once again started talking to him about the dog, he threatened to evict us from the house.

Even today I am sure that no one has the right to forbid people to keep dogs. Therefore, it makes sense to buy your own house, if only to keep animals there.

After some time, the parents really bought a house with a garden. I now had my own room, and I felt in seventh heaven with happiness. But the parents were not so happy. The purchase turned out to be more expensive than expected, and I, of course, realized that we were tight with money. So I decided to keep my desires to myself for a while. But I really wanted to have a dog!

One morning, my mother woke me up and said: “Kira, get up faster! A wounded dog is sleeping near the house.” I jumped out of bed and rushed to the door. Indeed, in the corner between the house and the garage lay a white dog. He slept soundly and trembled in his sleep.

He had a rather large bleeding wound on his back. It looked like he was beaten by other dogs, after which he dragged himself here and collapsed exhaustedly to sleep. I felt sorry for him. “How can you bite such a wonderful dog? I thought. And then he woke up and looked at me with his big eyes. Then he got to his feet and took a few steps towards me, but at the same time he was trembling with weakness that his legs parted, and he flopped on his belly. I immediately fell in love with him.

We carefully carried him into the car and took him to the vet. He sewed up the wound on his back and made several injections. The dog calmed down and fell asleep. The veterinarian explained to us that the wound was really from a bite, but should heal soon. He also informed us that the breed of dog is called the Labrador. These are surprisingly good-natured and intelligent dogs. They are very fond of children. They make the best guides for the blind. While the doctor was talking, I stroked the white coat of the dog. How soft and tender she was!

The dog did not even feel how we took him home and carefully laid him on a mat in the kitchen. I didn't take my eyes off him. “I hope he gets better,” I thought.

But I worried in vain. The white dog quickly got to his feet. And then another serious problem arose: we didn’t know whose it was and where it came from. Are we allowed to keep it? I wasn't scared in the slightest. What if the parents don't want to keep the dog? We don't have much money.

Of course, we had to find its owner. However, I secretly hoped that we would not find anyone. Dad advertised in the newspaper and called several dog shelters in the area. But no one has heard of the white Labrador. With each passing day, the parents liked the dog more and more. He became a true member of our family.

In the meantime, the Labrador recovered completely. Once we ran with him around the yard until we were completely exhausted. Then I sat down to have breakfast. The conversation at the table turned again to money. I preferred not to listen to these conversations. Firstly, I did not understand anything, and secondly, when this topic was touched upon, everyone had very unhappy faces.

When there was a pause in the conversation, I decided to turn it to a more important topic and asked: “What is the name of our dog?” And everyone suddenly realized that we do not know his name.

In my opinion, it was wrong. The dog must have a name. I looked at the white ball of wool, sleeping three meters from me on my bedding, and thought. But nothing came to my mind.

Meanwhile, the parents, meanwhile, again switched to financial problems. Father said irritably: “Money, money, money! Everything revolves around them!” And suddenly the labrador woke up and ran to dad. "Mani! 1
Money (English) - money. - Note. transl.

I exclaimed. “He responds to the nickname Mani!” The dog immediately ran up to me.

“He should be called Mani,” I convinced my parents. “He chose that name for himself.” Mom was not happy with such a proposal: “You can’t call the dog Money.” However, dad found it funny: “But it’s not bad. We call money and they come to us. That's the solution to all problems." At the time, he had no idea how close his assumption was to the truth. And so it happened that the Labrador was named Mani.

It's been six weeks and we still don't know where Mani came from. Yes, I didn't really want to know. After all, if the owner were found, then Mani would probably have to give it away, but I really wanted him to stay with us. Parents are also very used to it. As a result, Mani stayed with us. But deep down, I still feared that one day his previous owner would knock on our door and take the dog away. I think it’s not even worth talking about the fact that Mani and I have already managed to become best friends.

There is an abyss between their dreams and real life.

You will have new thoughts and a new perspective on the situation, and you will learn to be original and creative in solving life's problems.

This story will strengthen your faith in your own abilities. The adventures of the heroes will not leave you indifferent, and you will once again think about your freedom and unrealized potential.

Success Stories Don't Solve All Problems

I must confess that I have not always attached great importance to such stories.

In this age of high technology, one often gets the impression that only those thoughts that a mere mortal is not able to understand can point the way to success.

And a fascinating story that a person “sees” with his heart is sometimes more important than tens of thousands of correct words.

Here we are talking, rather, about the laws of success and wealth, described in the book "The Path to Financial Freedom." These principles are the universal and eternal axiom of prosperity.

But I think you can find much better examples yourself.
