"White Island of Moscow" is how it is said about the Strogino area in its anthem. One of the most environmentally friendly areas of Moscow. There are both forests and vast recreation areas, the most famous of which is the Stroginskaya floodplain. We start our walk to the water surface from the Strogino metro station. The metro in the Strogino area was built in 2008.

The western territory of the Moskvoretsky Natural and Historical Park (1667.26 ha) is part of the State Budgetary Institution "SPNA Administration for ZAO", currently located within the city of Moscow, but about a century ago it was outside the capital. Like most of the Moscow region, these lands have long been mastered by man. Their attractiveness is connected, first of all, with the valley location (near the valley of the Moskva River), as well as with amazing picturesqueness. Archaeologists have established that people appeared on the territory currently occupied by the Moskvoretsky park as early as the 5th millennium BC. As a place of finds of products and tools of the era bronze age(second millennium BC) the Krylatskoye area is widely known.
Slavs mastered these lands in IX-XI centuries, as evidenced by the presence of Vyatichi barrows in the area of their first settlements (“parking sites”), dating back to the 10th-13th centuries. Also, almost completely on the territory of the park (300 m from the Krylatsky bridge) is the famous Kuntsevo settlement, founded in the first millennium AD. The settlement existed until the 16th century.

These are floodplain meadows and swamps of the Stroginsky floodplain, the Shchukinsky Peninsula with its shores indented by numerous bays, the largest of which is called Chisty, Kirovskaya floodplain and Stroginsky cape. The nature of the Shchukin Peninsula is surprisingly diverse: there are floodplain tall-grass meadows where mountaineer serpentine, a bathing suit, Fisher's carnation grow; Poplar, ash and apple trees are planted along the island. Only here you can visit the forest and the meadow, and the wild shore of the lake, and even the swamp. The duration of the excursion along each floodplain is 1.5 hours, the route is about 1.5 km.
On the territory of the Kirov floodplain there are 2 picnic points - st. Isakovsky, 4-6, where anyone can spend a day off.
For lovers of physical education in the fresh air, 2 sports grounds are installed - st. Isakovskogo, d. 22. One of them is a sports and rehabilitation area with exercise equipment for people with disabilities. 7 simulators are installed, two of which are double-sided. All sports equipment is equipped with a special support device for fixing a wheelchair. The main purpose of the simulators is not so much to build muscle, but to influence the restoration of blood circulation, which is usually impaired in disabled supporters.

From metro Strogino
On foot
The closest station to your destination is Strogino. Walking in this area will be pleasant, it is green and well-groomed. And the air is considered the cleanest in Moscow.
- You need to get out of the subway to Tallinskaya street. As you climb into the city, you will find yourself in a small park that stretches to the intersection with Tallinskaya Street.
- You need to cross the road and be on the side of the Institute of Electronics and Mathematics. If you are facing the institute, then you need to turn right and go straight to the Yantar stadium.
- Before the stadium, turn left and enter the park.
- In the park, move forward, the road will go diagonally.
- When you reach the cafe "at the Tank" turn right and move along the trees until you reach the beach.

By bus
Exit from the metro from the eastern vestibule or to Tallinskaya street. Not far from the exit there is a public transport stop, where there is bus number 310 and minibuses 358k and 584k.

- Walk straight along the Strogino highway in the opposite direction to the bus you came on.

- Near you will be an Olivier supermarket and McDonald's. Leave them by left hand and move to Novoshchukinskaya street.
- Continue moving forward towards the Moskva River.
- Cross the Moscow Canal along the Stroginsky Bridge, and continue moving until the intersection with the Road of Life alley.
- At the entrance to the park you will see a barrier. Come in here and move forward.
- Then turn left and you will reach the beach. The walking route is about 3.1 kilometers long and will take you 40 minutes.
By bus
- From the Schukinskaya metro station, you can get to the recreation area by buses No. 137, 277, 310, 638, 640, 687, 798.
- The stop from where the necessary buses run is located next to the large Scarlet Sails store. Therefore, when you rise from the subway, look for signs to this shopping center.
- The stop is located to the right of the exit, but you need to walk a few meters ahead to get there.
- You need to take any of the listed buses for 2 stops and get off at the Water Ski Stadium.

- Move forward and at the first turn go left and after a few meters you will reach the beach.
By car
From the Moscow Ring Road
The most convenient way to get to the recreation area by car is to move along the Moscow Ring Road. It doesn't matter which side of the car ring you will move from, you need to move off to Leningradskoe shosse.
- Move along it towards the city center and get to the Sokol metro station, next to which there is an exit to Volokolamsk highway.
- You need to get on the understudy of this road and get to Pekhotnaya Street. Turn left and go to Schukinskaya street.
- Turn right here and go to the Schukinskaya metro station.
- Keep heading for Novoshchukinskaya street and follow it to get to the Stroginsky bridge.

- When moving along the Garden Ring, drive off under the Mayakovskaya metro sign or 1st Tverskaya-Yamskaya street.
