Highland Dagestan Highland Dagestan

Geographical position Geographical position The Republic of Dagestan occupies the area of the eastern Ciscaucasia and the south - west of the Caspian lowland and is located on the north - eastern slope of the Greater Caucasus. Its territory is limited by 42'11 and 44'59 north latitude, 45'07' and 48'35' east longitude.

Geological structure and minerals The territory of Dagestan is mostly located within the fold-cover system of the Greater Caucasus of the Alpine-Himalayan mobile belt, with the exception of the Tersko-Kuma lowland, which is located in the southeastern part of the Scythian young platform, which has a mainly Paleozoic folded base overlain by a cover of the Meso-Cenozoic terrigenous carbonate sediments. The most important mineral resources of Dagestan are oil and natural combustible gas (deposits near the cities of Makhachkala, Yuzhno-Sukhokumsk and on the shelf of the Caspian Sea). There are known deposits of pyrite polymetallic ores (KizilDere and others), ores of strontium, tin, tungsten, mercury, bismuth, as well as native sulfur, gypsum, oil shale, hard and brown coal, natural building materials (sands, clays, gravel, limestones, marls , dolomites, etc.)

Relief The relief of Dagestan is divided into foothill, mountain and high-mountain physico-geographical zones, each of which has different types of vegetation. The orography of Dagestan is peculiar: a 245-kilometer strip of foothills rests on transverse ridges that border Inner Dagestan in a huge arc. Two main rivers break out of the mountains - Sulak in the north and Samur in the south. The natural boundaries of mountainous Dagestan are: the Snegovoi and Andi ridges - up to the giant Sulak canyon, Gimrinsky, Les, Kokma, Dzhufudag and Yarudag - between Sulak and the Samur basin, the Main Caucasian ridge - in the southwest of both basins. Inner Dagestan, in turn, is divided into a mid-mountain plateau-like region and an alpine high-mountain region. The mountains cover an area of 25.5 thousand km², and the average height of the entire territory of Dagestan is 960 m. The highest point is Bazardyuzyu (4466 m). The rocks that make up the mountains of Dagestan are sharply demarcated. The main ones are black and clay shales, strong dolomitic and weak alkaline limestones, as well as sandstones. The shale ridges include Snegovoi with the Diclosmta massif (4285 m), Bogos with the top of AddalaShuhgelmeer (4151 m), Shalib with the top of Dyultydag (4127 m).

Climate Climate The climate in the north and in the central part of Dagestan is temperate continental arid, changing to subtropical in the south. The average temperature in January is from +1 °C in the lowlands to -11 °C in the mountains. The average July temperature is up to +24 °C. The number of cages is 200-800 mm per year.

Soils Soils In the foothills and mountains, altitudinal zonality is clearly expressed in the distribution of soil and vegetation cover. On the plains, there are light chestnut soils, brown sandy loamy, largely saline, meadow solonchak, alluvial in the floodplains; vegetation is predominantly sagebrush and sagebrush. Chestnut and mountain forest soils are common in the foothills.

Vegetation Vegetation In the foothill area begins a strip of meadows and forests. On the slopes of the Andean Range and Salatau, you can find birch forests, thickets of oaks, hornbeams. Beech-hornbeam forests grow from the south. Birch trees appear a little higher in the mountains. And in those areas of forests that were cut down, thickets of aspen, alder, yellow rhododendrons are now being planted. At the foot of the Daradinsky plateau you can see pine forests. And a little to the east, closer to Chiragchay, there are magnificent lindens.

Animal world Animal world The fauna of Dagestan is quite diverse, and, like the flora, is clearly divided into zones. Since the flat territories are inhabited by humans, animals are also found here, mainly domestic: fat herds of rams and sheep roam from place to place all year round, choosing pastures thicker and richer. By the way, in terms of the number of sheep per capita, Dagestan is one of the three most prosperous regions of our country. Cows and bulls, horses, donkeys, goats are bred in Dagestan. Many types of poultry: chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys. Wild animals have chosen for themselves forests and mountainous areas. It is here that you can meet Dagestan endemics: bearded goats, Caucasian deer, Dagestan turs and Caucasian leopards. Dark brown bears live in forests and foothills. Caucasian otters live in the river valleys, and giant mole rats are found. And high in the mountains, several individuals of leopards still roam.

The avifauna is richly represented in the republic: eagles, peregrine falcons, gyrfalcons, kites, griffon vultures, vultures soar above the mountains. Stone partridges, snowcocks, Caucasian black grouse nest on the slopes of the mountains. On the rivers there are waterfowl: woodcocks, gulls, ducks, mallards. Lizards and snakes are found in forests, foothills and river valleys. Gyurza is considered especially dangerous and poisonous. Trout, sturgeon, and beluga are caught in mountain rivers and on the coast.

In the southern regions, a purely beech-hornbeam forest. Birch and pine trees are found in the interior. Pasture plateau for flocks. The poorest part of the mountains is the top. Only cold-resistant mosses and lichens survive there. The living nature of high-mountainous Dagestan is unique. This territory is inhabited by the Dagestan tur, dark brown bear, noble Caucasian deer, roe deer, bezoar goat, and leopards. Many researchers are amazed at the world of birds. Ulars, kekliks, alpine jackdaws and eagles consider the highlands the best place to live.

    Work on a new topic.

Teacher: Hello, guys and guests of our lesson. Today we have an unusual lesson.

The Government of the Republic of Dagestan declared 2016 the "Year of Mountains" in order to preserve and develop the traditions and customs of the centuries-old cultural heritage.

Let's greet our government, headed by President Ramazan Gadzhimuradovich Abdulatipov, while standing under the anthem. (slide 1)

Announce the topic, purpose and objectives of the lesson. (slide 2)

So, the topic of today's lesson is "Mountains are our present and future."

"Mountains" - what do we mean by this word?

Mountains are not only hills, rocks, where there are paths with stony blocks, not only a gorge, mountains are a whole world, clean transparent air, this is a spring, I can drink plenty; mountains are people with their own customs and traditions. In a word, this is life! And in confirmation of this, I will read a short verse by the great national poet Rasul Gamzatov:

“You can fit a heart in the palm of your hand,

But you can't fit the whole world in your heart,

Other countries are very good

But Dagestan is dearer to the soul.”

What do we know about Dagestan?

Dagestan is the ancient name of our region. "Dag" - mountain, "Stan" - country. Dagestan is not just a country of mountains. First of all, it is a country of numerous languages and peoples, the number of which, despite all the efforts of the scientists of the world, has not yet been reliably established. And every nation has its famous auls. One is famous for potters, another for blacksmiths, others weave carpets, and are famous for tightrope walkers. (slides 3, 4, 5, 6)

And in our area, the village of Rakhata, is famous for its cloaks, (slides 9, 10)

salt is mined in the village of Kvankhidatli, the Tlokh cannery provides Dagestan with its excellent products. And in Andi - the highest mountains of the Botlikh region. There is also a lake that we are all proud of. (slides 11, 12)

A particle of Dagestan is also our village - Muni.

Our village is famous for its orchards, especially the famous apricots. (Slides 14, 15)

The village has preserved a watch and signal tower from ancient times, located on the slope of the mountain, from where you can see all the surroundings of the village. It was used to receive distant signals about the advance of the enemy. (slide 16,17)

Each aul is a small world with its past, present and future. This is everyone's homeland.

Teacher: Motherland! This is the greatest, closest and dearest thing that a person has. Whether it is big or small, it also depends on the person himself, on his knowledge, ability to understand, love and protect the Motherland. Love for the motherland is compared with love for a mother. There is a saying: "Whoever does not love his own mother, will not love his Motherland."

Our fathers and grandfathers deeply loved their Motherland - Dagestan and insisted that "The Motherland can do without us, but we will never do without the Motherland."

We taught a lot of poems about Dagestan, as about the Motherland. Who wants to read?

Student: The poem "My Dagestan".

When I, having traveled many countries,

Tired, returned home from the road,

Leaning over me, Dagestan asked:

"Isn't the distant land you fell in love with?"

I climbed the mountain from that height,

Sighing with all his chest, Dagestan answered:

"I have seen many lands, but you

Still the most loved in the world.

I may rarely swear in love to you,

It's not new to love, but it's not new to swear,

I silently love because I'm afraid:

A hundred times repeated word will fade.

Student: Gamzatov's poem "Dagestan ..."

Dagestan, everything that people gave me,

I will share with you in honor

I am my orders and medals

I'll pin your tops.

I will dedicate ringing hymns to you

And words turned into verse

Just give me a cloak of forests

And a hat of snowy peaks!

Teacher: You can talk about Dagestan endlessly, but, unfortunately, this is not possible in one lesson.

I'll tell you briefly about the largest mountains of Dagestan:

Mountain "Shalbuzdag" is the main mountain and a symbol of Dagestan. It is located in southern Dagestan. It has an unusual shape. Height-4150 m. (Slide 18)

"Tarki - Tau" is located near the capital of Dagestan. It means "narrow mountain". (Slide 19)

The sandy mountain "Sarykum" is located near Makhachkala. Its height is 251 m. It changes shape, but does not crumble. (Slide 20)

The peak of Dagestan - "Bazaar - Dyuzu" is located on the border with Azerbaijan. Height 4466 meters. This is the southernmost point of Russia. (Slide 21)

Of course, we cannot but mention the "Pushkin Mountain", which is located in Izberg-tau. Pushkin surprisingly prophetically wrote in his time: “I erected a monument to myself not made by hands, a folk path will not grow to it ...” (slide 22)

But the Gimry mountains are closest to us. (slide 23)

This mountain is associated with the great commander Imam Shamil. In the history of mankind there was no such commander as Imam Shamil. (slide 24)

"If Napoleon was the spark of war, then Imam Shamil is his pillar of fire." So great historians wrote about him.

The August events of 1999 are also connected with the history of Dagestan. In August 1999, militant gangs invaded our region from Chechnya. Their goal was to capture our bridge of federal significance, pave the way and unite with other militants and thereby capture the whole of Dagestan. But both men and women stood up to defend their land and defended it. Defending their native land, some gave their lives. (slides 25, 26)

Kazanalipov from Andi and Khadzhimurad Nurukhmaev from Ansalt, who were posthumously awarded the highest award of their homeland, Hero of Russia. (slides 27, 28)

Another participant became a hero of Russia. This is Magomedov Dibirgadzhi with Godoberi (slide 29)

V.V. Putin respectfully spoke about the Dagestanis and Botlikhs during the August events, what worthy people they are. He also said: “Seeing how they defend their homeland, I fell in love with Dagestan even more.” (Slide 32)

Teacher: Yes ... Dagestan is multilingual, multicolored. Many different customs are preserved by its peoples. Dagestan also has its own code of honor. Who remembers this?

2nd student: Here we have such blue mountains, and such golden fields!

If all the edges took their color, the earth would become even more beautiful.

Grandfathers taught in the old days:

Don't give in to the liar

Otherwise you have to

Share his guilt with him.

If a faithful horse, having injured his leg, suddenly stumbles, and then again

Do not blame him - blame the road, and do not rush to change the horse.

Cowardly man, if you meet somewhere,

Know that he is not a Dagestani, not from Dag, he is on his way.

Dagestan men do not tremble with small shiver,

They value their valor and honor more than life.

Our girls are bashful, they walk smoothly like the moon -

There is no trace in the dust, and the gait is not audible.

Do not bring quarrels to enmity,

Resentment - a bad picky

When meeting with the word "Hello" shame,

Not saying hello to a neighbor.

One for all in severe trouble,

Steep. And all for one.

Such is the ancient, eternally new

The law of my people!

And now, let's see a little humorous scene.

(Two young guys are sitting on the sidewalk and talking)

1st: You know, we have such a tradition in Dagestan - "respect" is called.

2nd: Wow! And what is this tradition?

1st: If an older man passes by you and says "Salam Aleikum" to you, you should stand up and answer him "Waalaikum salam!"

2nd: How interesting! (At this time, a man passes and greets them)

Passer-by: Salam Aleykum!

1st and 2nd (get up): Waalaikum salam.

(The passer-by comes back and greets again: "Salam Aleikum". This is repeated several more times. Then the first young man got angry)

1st: Hey, you, come here! We're coming to us. (A passer-by joins them)

1st: What year were you born?

Passer-by: 1997, why?

1st: Wow! And I'm born in 1997. What month?

Passer-by: Maya.

1st: Wababai, and I was born in May. What's the date?

Passer-by: At 9 o'clock, 35 minutes.

1st: And I - at 9 o'clock, 25 minutes! Salaam Alaikum!

Passer-by (gets up): Waalaikum salam.

1st: Salam Aleykum!

Passer-by: Waalaikum salam! (Repeat several times. Then music sounds).

Teacher: Friendship between the peoples of Dagestan is one of the main values. What can you say about it?

student: Dagestan is the birthplace of more than 60 equal peoples. It is not for nothing that Dagestan is called not only the "country of mountains", but also the "country of languages". Friendship between peoples is the most precious and great wealth of Dagestan, it is a strong feeling that can create miracles on Earth. We, people, and therefore, without true friends.

2nd student: It's harder for us to live, it's harder to die

Without friendship, my small people would perish -

Great only by the fact that love lives.

We are true friendship and a song about it

More necessary than air, and more necessary than bread.

Teacher: Guys, Dagestan writers and poets sing Dagestan as their homeland. I would like to hear what non-Dagestan writers and poets write about Dagestan?

Do any of you know the poems of such poets?

Student: Alexander Vasilchenko.

Dagestan.

Ah, Dagestan! Country of beautiful mountains

Country of winds, great lakes.

So surprisingly wide is its scope,

Welcoming human faces.

Who visited only once.

Seeing the beauty of the earth

That Caucasus will leave a memory in the heart,

Which beckons, pleases, enchants.

Like a carpet there, at the foot of the mountains,

Makhachkala makes a friendly noise.

Under the southern sun, the dispute does not subside,

The poetry of Rasul * took over.

Teacher: You and I also had the honor to be born in such an amazing land. Be proud, dear ones, you were born and are growing up in a glorious and beautiful land - multinational Dagestan.

Teacher: Tell me guys, did you like today's lesson? Then continue with these sentences. (slide 31)

Summing up the lesson: Teacher: And now, let's see, guys, how did you learn today's lesson. Quickly, form three groups.

I will give you a sheet with the same task, led by the leaders of the groups, complete the task and hand it in. (Time to complete is given 3 minutes.)

Checking assignments and grading:

I also want to note the students who distinguished themselves by expressive reading.

The lesson is over. Thank you for the lesson. (slide 32)

The old saying "Dagestan is a country of mountains" fully reflects the essence of the region. This mysterious land has long been famous for its hospitality, richness of customs, and the extraordinary beauty of mountain landscapes.

Mountains I stand on the top of the mountain above, And the mountains are happy to meet, They go out to meet, and it seems to me that there is no need for greater happiness, The sons of these mountains, giants, fought for the truth in hard battles. You will not find a rock untouched by a bullet, a valley not watered with blood. Here it is forbidden to sing the song of war, And if someone breaks the ban, Then in fear of the peak, streams of stones, Trembling, will fall on the madmen. ©Akhmed Dzhachaev.

Sarykum Barkhan, a sandy mountain that constantly changes its shape, but does not crumble. Such a highlight is located just north of Makhachkala in the Kumtorkalinsky district of Dagestan - Sarykum. The highest point of the sandy mountain reaches 251 m. The sandy mountain Sarykum constantly changes its shape, but does not crumble. According to experts, this phenomenon is explained by the nature of local winds. In this case, the winds that destroy the surrounding mountains carry the product of destruction here - sand. But the mountain both attracts and drives away everyone with its wild fauna. As with other sandy areas, a large number of creeping, running and hissing animals live here.

Mount Shalbuz-dag Shalbuzdag is the most famous mountain in Dagestan. Every year from July to August pilgrims from all over the Caucasus come here. The sacred mountain became after the tomb of the righteous Suleiman appeared there. According to legend, he was very God-fearing, and when he died, a miracle happened. Since then, pilgrims come here every year. They bring alms and ask God for health for loved ones. It is believed that in order for prayers to be heard, one must go around the feast three times and be sure to tie a ribbon or scarf. Scientists believe that there used to be a sea on the site of the mountain. Unlike all other heights, Shalbuzdag is distinguished by its unusual shape - a pyramid with a jagged top. This gives the mountain a special mystery. Mount Shalbuzdag is popularly called the road to the fulfillment of desires. The height of the mountain is 4 thousand 150 meters. People believe that if you overcome this distance, then all your dreams and desires will certainly come true.
